A Loop In Time Part II

So this morning I make a stop before going into work I stop by a huge building that sits on the edge of town. Stepping in I am greeted by a man in white.

"Mr. Locket," the guy says

"Yes"

"Master Victor will see you now" he states with a hiss

I follow behind him in a deem lit room heavy blood red drapes cover the huge windows letting in very little sunlight. We walk into another huge room full of more red drapes. There is a sofa and wingback chair in a small sitting area off to the side. Accompanied by two side tables and a big round table in the center of them. The man I am looking for sits in the chair his legs crossed at his feet, his dark hair neatly styled. He wears a tailored blue suit no tie. His dark eyes come to mine as I step into the room.

"Mr. Locket" he smiles

"Please call me Strix," I tell him

He smiles again I hated when he smiled "Of course Strix welcome to my home. Would you care for a drink"

"No think you" I didn't want anything he had to offer but the money to pay my debt

"What bring you by so early this morning"

"The offer you made at my office last week is it still up"

His smile widens "Anything for a friend"

"What are your terms," I ask him

"Please take a seat" he offers

"I rather not"

He nods "My terms are simple, the first is your soul"

"My soul" I question

He leans up his fingers entwining together as he talks "Your soul, meaning when you die witch well be by my hand your body will be left to roam about for eternity" he leans back once again crossing his legs "But there is a catch"

"What's the catch," I ask

Once more I see his evil smile "Lyle bring in the trinkets" he shouts

The boy that has brought me back came in with a tray full of trinkets. They just looked like the everyday trinkets that you would see at someone's house on a shelf. There was an old music box, a pocket watch, an old doll, just to name a few of them.

"Pick one, any of them. The item you pick is what seals your fate" Victor tells me

Stepping forward I reach out picking up the pocket watch, I watch once more as a smile spreads across his face.

"Good choice, with this watch you can jump through time. You can never go back but you can go as far into the future as you want" he tells me

He hands me a box to put it in "What is your other terms" I ask him placing the box in my lap as I sit on the sofa next to his chair.

"I have been so lonely for so long, A hundred years since I have had a woman's touch. Bring me a woman, young beautiful and your debt to me will be paid" he stands as do I "Lyle will see you out"

"My money"

"In three days you will receive what you are looking for, have a good day Mr. Locket"

Lyle came back in showing me to the door, I just hoped he was good on his word. I held the box with the watch in it close to me as I went to work that day. And that night I hide it away after making love to Valentine.

Three days as he had said the money had arrived and our land and house was saved. I had not forgotten about the deal I just got busy work had picked up and I was coming home later than normal.
