I've been calling his names numerous times...desperate- he raises his voice a bit in intention to help the boy. When Wei Ying finally snapped out of his thought...he gave Lan Wangji a reassuring smile.

Lan Wangji does not recognize the smile....it does not look convincing at all. Little did he know, Wei Ying hides his emotion under his smile...Lan Wangji however, never shows his emotion.

Mother knows he is lying...

To make the situation worse, Wei Ying is hyperventilating. He never wants to see the cheerful boy behaving like this.
