Chapter Twenty-two

         I heard Lisa enter closing the door quietly probably not to wake the girls up
       Where are you going? Lisa asked
        I brought out the two gowns I bought two days ago displaying them for her "what do you think" I asked
         "Um I think you should wear the red one" she replies. You are going to look hot in them
       I looked at the dress trying to picture myself on them "Yeah?" She nodded smiling.
         "So where are you going?" she asked again
           "Didn't I tell you that I will be going out with someone?" I asked
            "No you didn't" she replies her mood changing
            Oh shit I forgot to tell her "I am sorry, I thought I did". Well I met this girl, she wants me to accompany her as her date  to her families dinner
           Are you dating her? She asked.
           "What No!" We ain't dating I said putting on the gown
             Well I hope you enjoy your date she mumbles before leaving, closing the door a little bit hard. I opened the door following her to her room stopping her from closing the door on me
             What's wrong with her, she did told me to go on a date and now she seems mad about it. "What's wrong"
            Nothing! she retorted with that scrowl on her face
            What do you mean nothing, you are clearly angry for some reason
            She scoff rolling her eyes "what do you care?"
            Are you angry that I'm going out with someone? I asked for some reason. We were fine a little while ago
           "I'm not angry you are going out with someone, I'm angry you forgot to mention it all this time until now" she
           "I'm sorry, I thought I did" I can hear my phone ringing
            "You should answer it, it's probably your girlfriend calling" she said
             I looked at the screen and she was right, Jeanie was calling non stop. I sighed heavily not knowing what I was to do. Should I just cancel the whole thing or apologize to Lisa when I gets back.
           Can we talk when I get home? I asked hopefully
           She looked at me for a while before getting on her bed "lock the door when you leave" she says turning away from me.
           I wanted to stay but knowing I already promised someone to be there with her and I'm not about to disappoint her for the second time. I left closing her door softly to go prepare for the date.

          Jeanie picked me up a while later after I picked her call. She was putting on a white crop top, a black trousers with a white sneakers. She looked simple but nice.
         I didn't take you as someone who wears gowns she broke the silent glancing at me
          I don't" I said looking at my clothes. Though I hate gowns, I still look good on them
         Oh well you look hot in them
          I thought about the other person that says I will look hot in them, why did I forgot to mention it to her  "Well I hope they don't get us married tonight" I said laughing
           "They definitely will" she said looking at the road
           "What?" I asked perplexed
          She bust out laughing still watching the road "don't you know the word scartisim
           Oh I thought you were being serious for a minute there" I watched her driving, she looks so calm and beautiful. She looked at me smiling when she found me staring at her
           "I thought I will never see you again" she said
          Me too I said. She looks hurt by what I said. She thought I didn't want to see her again "but I'm glad we met again" I finished.  She smiles nodding her head softly "yeah me too" she says before facing the road
             We didn't talk again till we arrive. Everywhere was crowded. I didn't know one can have so many people as family like this. I grew up as an only child with my mom who had no parents. Every one was happy, talking and laughing with their own group.
           I was fucking nervous, I think Jeanie noticed because she took my hand giving it a gentle squeeze "you will be fine" she mouthed at me. I calmed down nodding my head softly
         She introduced me to her close families who asked me one question or the other. I guess this is why Jeanie warned me before I came here. They were so thrilled that Jeanine brought a girl home. They treated me like a princess, mostly her mom who made sure I enjoyed myself. I didn't know I will be having this so much fun tonight. I somehow wished I had a family like them.
           After sometime, Jeanie who I hadn't seen for a while came. We excused ourselves to the people I was sitting with going outside. She took me to the roof top where I watched the scane going down.
          You have a beautiful family" I stated smiling.
         "Yeah if they are not being the annoying pricks" I laughed at what she said.
            They don't seem so bad" I said laughing sitting down on the ground. "I didn't know I will be having this so much fun" I said feeling the cold ground
            "I'm glad you did, they really like you!" Jeanie says sitting beside me
           "I'm glad they did and they are cool too" I said
           "You look beautiful when you laugh" she suddenly says looking at me
            I was surprised at the change of topic but that didn't stop me from blushing "oh I uh.... Thanks
            Jeanie nodded looking around "I always come here when ever I'm happy or sad" she says standing up going to a corner. I did the same following her. I saw a name scripted on the wall "Jeanie"
           "You own this roof top?" I asked. She nodded "Yeah I do" she replies showing me her name on the wall
           That's cool I says. We sat down, she told me funny stuffs she did when she was little. We chatted happily until it was time to go. I bid her family goodbye before she drove me home. I bid her goodbye after we promised to see each other sometime again.
            I was so happy and tired when I got in my room. It was already pass midnight. I stripped off my clothes, too tired to put on my pajamas, I lay down naked using the blanket to cover myself from the cold before I finally slept off
          

          
LISA'S POV

         I couldn't sleep knowing Lizzie was out with someone. I was surprised and jealous when she told me that she's going out with someone. I should have told her to wear the other dress if I knew she was going out with someone.
         I knew I was the one that told her she can see other girls but I didn't know I am going to feel this way especially when she wanted to look pretty for the person.
          She told me she wasn't going to date anytime soon. I wanted to know who she went out with that's why I stayed on my window waiting for her. I saw a car drove in, a lady came out opening the door for lizzie. They talked briefly smiling over something. I didn't see her face well but I knew she looked okay from afar.
          Whew I sighed going to my bad slumping on it. I was wondering what they did that took them this long. I was pissed for some reason but I was going to blame it on her not telling me on time she will be going out. I heard the door open before closing. I stayed awake for a while before I finally slept off.
