The scented aroma of the incense sticks, mellifluous voice singing in the praise of the lord, soothing rythym originating from the shruti box and sound of the Thalas of her mother's students failed to bring her out of her trance. She held the coffee cup near her lips looking at her mother, looking so magnificent in her royal blue saree while teaching the new batch of students. Watching her mother sing effortlessly always kindled Sivaangi's passion for music.

Looking at the blank call logs for the upteenth time, Sivaangi decided to sit with her mother to resume her music lessons. It was Onam the next day. It was Sivaangi's one of the favourite festivals. Being a tomboy, rather being perceived as one by herself, she never used to drape an elegent Onam saree even after severe insistence from her mother who used to look so beautiful in the nine yeards of sheer elegence. It was all about Onam Sadhya (Feast) for her. The tastiest items on the banana leaf were all that she cared about.

But, the present year was something different for her. Sivaangi was very much excited about Onam. It was one of the big days in their life. It was the first time she was going to spend the day with him. She had an important event to attend on the day of Onam along with him and for the first time she wanted to look presentable on the day.

"Maa, Andha saree la naan nalla dhane iruken?" Sivaangi interrupted her mother and sighed on receiving a glare in return.

"Ennachu unaku ?" Her mother rolled her eyes, getting used to her daughter's behaviour off late.

"Sollu Maaa!"
She was happy that her tom-boyish daughter was showing interest in dressing up. But instead of replying her, Binni concentrated on providing her students the music lessons.

"En yarume enna madhikave maatranga. Ipo ivanga, Apo avaru. Huh!" Sivaangi clutched her phone to herself looking at the blank screen again.

Sivaangi was twisting and turning on the bed, so excited about the event that was happening the next day but at the same time sulked upon not getting to talk to him. It was a big day for him as well. It was already 10pm and she didn't even get a Whatsapp response from him for her
'Hi Ashwineyy!'
'Saptiya Manna'
'En phone edukamaatra. Busy ya?'

She groaned in annoyance and worry. Having nothing else to do, Sivaangi opened her instagram handle only to be surprised seeing the notification that Ashwin Kumar has liked her ten day old Instagram reel few minutes ago.

"Manna Active ah dhan iruka. Apram en reply panna matengra ?" Sivaangi wondered mentally noting to take a huge lecture on his behaviour the next day.

"Wait and Watch Manna. Nalaiku epdi pesama irukeenga nu naanum paakren" Sivaangi smirked locking her mobile phone and lied on the bed trying to drift into a good slumber.

It was the time of dawn. The smell of incense sticks and the mellifluous voice of her mother who was singing the same song in the praise of the lord woke her up from her slumber.  Sivaangi smiled brightly and ran to the living room to wish her parents. "Onam Ashamsakal Manna! Can't wait to meet you" She dropped him a message and left the place to get ready for the day. It was the day of her album song launch, Adipoli. The  team had organised a small gathering to celebrate the festival and the launch and the duo were looking forward to the day since a long time.

Adorning herself with the Gold ornaments, Sivaangi looked at her reflection in the mirror. She smiled at beautiful krishna and Radhey print on her pallu and smiled. Her mother helped her complete her look by keeping a small bindi inbetween her eyebrows. "Azhaga iruka Sivaangi. Krishna ku dhan thank you sollanum unna ipdi mathi vechadhuku" Binni maa giggled.

"Krishna illa maa Adhu Ashwin" Vinayak spoke her mind out earning a smack from Sivaangi.

"Idhuku poy sirikara. Enna Amma maa nee ?"Sivaangi rolled her eyes looking her mother.

Her family banter came to an abrupt end on listening to the loud horn of Ashwin's car. They were already getting late for the event. Sivaangi ran towards the door eager to meet him and Binni Maa giggled at her urgency.

After wishing the family near the entrace and promising to visit them for lunch, Ashwin sat inside the car not being so expressive of his emotions in front of her parents on seeing his tiny woman looking elegent in the off-white and gold saree.

"Hi Manna! Epdi ulleer ? Nethu lam phone eh illa!" Sivaangi smiled sarcastically. Ashwin chuckled sensing her annoyance. "Kochikitaya?" He lifted her chin with his forefinger only to drown in her orbs which carried a lot of unsaid emotions. Sivaangi smiled at him, she was not the person to hold back grudges on people. She preferred talking things out. Above all, she never felt angry on the person in front, how much ever he tries to irk her. The reason was unknown to her as well.

"Seri sollunga. Indha get-up la na epdi iruken ?" Sivaangi asked. "Ahem, Adipoli" Ashwin chuckled and Sivaangi smiled widely. "Probably the only word in Malayalam you know." Sivaangi giggled.

"Adipoli is always special" Ashwin smiled dreamily. "I thought Yaathi is your personal favourite. Your chemistry with Lambhergini girl supero super" Sivaangi smirked and Ashwin's dreamy smile vanished.

He scoffed, "Rowdy, Nalla mood la iruken. Odipoidu." Ashwin groaned, concentrating om the road. After few minutes of peaceful silence, Sivaangi expressed how she felt. "Ashwiney! Adipoli enoda dream come true. Enoda voice unnoda dance. Enaku nervous ah iruku, at the same time fans pathi yoscha excited ah iruku." Sivaangi expressed how she felt. Ashwin smiled at her, "I trust the singer. Song will be a hit" Ashwin smiled, holding her tiny palms after   parking his car in her venue and Sivaangi smiled lovingly at him.

It was a huge day for them. The song was released to the audience in YouTube keeping the singers of the album a secret till the nick moment. The makers knew it would have exploded the internet as soon as it got released.

Sivaangi and Ashwin were not bothered about the public response, after all it was their product of their hardwork put together. It was so special to both of them. After a mass celebration on the gathering, Ashwin pulled Sivaangi to an isolated corner of the place. He kept his hands on either sides of her and smiled at her clueless face. "Enna panreenga Ashwiney!" Sivaangi whispered feeling all jittery due to their proximity.

"Unnoda voice, Adipoli." Ashwin said making Sivaangi snicker.

"Ugh! Orae Malayalam word therinji vechitu.." Her voice was suppressed as she gulped the rest of the words that was meant to come out of her mouth listening to the words he spoke

"Njan Ninne Snehikunnu" He whispered huskily, his breath fanning her face. Sivaangi blinked at him, his eyes conveying the amount of love and reverence he held for his girl.

Sivaangi instantly closed her eyes, not able to believe the words that came out of his mouth. Drops of tears dribbled down her closed eyes and Ashwin smiled wiping off those droplets from her supple cheeks. "I love you Sivaangi. Onam Ashamsakal." Sivaangi who cocooned herself in the arms of her beloved, looked at the smiling face of lord Krishna who was holding his beloved in his arms and gently mouthed a 'Thank You'.

"Njanum Ninne Snehikkunnu, Ashwiney" Sivaangi kissed his cheeks. They confessed finally, the language of the confession didnot matter. All that mattered was the language of love they chose to exchange their unsaid emotions.

The End.
