Y/N's POV

My eyes fluttered open as I heard a faint...

It was a Discord notification from one of my best friends. Granted we've never met but I always felt like he understood me.

Third person POV

"Ughhh now I'm bored and lonely..." Y/N mumbled to themselves, they sighed and decided to go out again. They changed and brushed out their H/L hair. And styled it the best they could.
"Eh, it's acceptable"

Y/N left the house and decided to walk down to the beach, it was calm there and they liked it.

Y/N sat at the shore watching the foamy residue get swept away by another small wave.
They chuckled,
"Kinda like my thought process... I wonder how the Earth is doing, it works so hard to keep us thriving and we repay it with pollution"

"Y/N?" An almost familiar voice spoke behind them. They spun around to see a young man who looks to be around his early twenties. He had an unforgettable toffee brown head of hair, which was swept to one side. Cute dimples appeared on his face when he smiled at them. He had freckles scattered across his cheeks and nose.
"Jacob?" They questioned wearily.
"Haha, yeah that's me! It's been a while, precisely 11 years." He smiled and sat down next to her.
"Y-Yeah, that must mean your 22, right?"
"And you, 18" He winked at them and laughed at Y/N's reaction.

For a while they just sat and talked about nothing in particular, Y/N's thoughts on the world or how to make the perfect pastry.

"So, Y/N... Would you wanna get a drink?" He helped them up awkwardly as a wild blush spread across his complexion.
Y/N just giggled and complied.

They eventually got to a small and obscure Café named Junimo's Hut. It was nicely decorated inside and most of the staff were polite. They got to the counter and almost immediately got cut off by a worker named Kai.
"HELLO. What flavour soap would you like? We've got two flavours, Raspberry, Aloe Vera, and Cherry Blossom."
The two stared at eachother, stunned and quite taken aback by his manner. They were considering leaving when the pair were once again interrupted by the strange staff member.
"Nah, I'm just messing. For real tho- whaddya want I've got break in like five minutes"
"We'll take a-"
"You know what, you go sit over there I'll go make you guys some sorta surprise on the house"

Jacob and Y/N stood there not quite sure if he was joking or being serious. Until Kai spoke up and they rushed over to a booth next to a window.

A few minutes had passed and the two started having their doubts when Kai showed up. The three had a very awkward interaction and once finishing their drinks decided to leave.

When Y/N got home they were in awe. They knew Jacob was attractive but they assumed he'd be all jock-y and full of himself.

Y/N's POV

'Oh my gosh, that was actually really nice... I wasn't expecting that, and Kai actually made pretty good drinks...'

I grabbed my laptop to see it chok full of discord messages... Ugh Ben- Why do you do this to me?
