Untitled Part 25

Ramiro and Alvaro hadn't been able to fix the dishwasher. Meanwhile, Mia had called and said they'd be at school in thirty minutes.

"Drive to school," said Ramiro, "I'll see that tomorrow I can order someone who can fix the device. It was worth a try," he said with a laugh.

Alvaro informed Lupe and they started to school. Zoe already knew that Juanma and Mia would be there soon and she and Alvaro were waiting at the entrance. Finally they saw the car in which the two were brought. Mia immediately fell into Alvaro's arms and Juanma hugged Zoe tightly too. They almost forgot to say goodbye to Pedro.

Alvaro said "Let's go upstairs, I have something to tell you."

In the room, Alvaro told everything that had happened that morning. Mia had become quiet. After a moment she said "I saw the contract, but Ramiro has asked me not to say anything so you don't worry"

Alvaro looked at her briefly, then ignored her comment. Dani's idea was good for everyone and everyone immediately agreed. Zoe called her parents to ask permission.

"Are you mad" Mia  asked Alvaro  softly.

"No, I can understand, I think I would have done the same." He took Mia in his arms. "But I would have found it better for myself if I had known."

"I know and I'm sorry." Mia said and gave Alvaro a kiss.

Zoe got permission too. Alvaro took a deep breath. A weekend with Dani and Toni would be good for everyone. He took Mia's hand and said softly. "Let's go to the river"

Mia agreed and they went to the car.

When they got to the river, they ran along the path.

"What do you think your mother will do now" asked Mia.

"I have no idea, but I don't think she's really forcing us to move." said Alvaro.

Mia pondered her thoughts for a moment.

"On Saturday there was an open day at the UNiversity, when we go to Dani and Toni's, then we can't go there at all."

"It doesn't matter, we don't have to go there. If I'm invited there, I can still have a look at the university. At the other university, the open day is a week later, then we go there," he took Mia Into his arms.

Mia nodded. "Ok, but if that's more important to you, Dani must understand that"

"No, that's ok, so. I'm looking forward to the beach and the stars." replied Alvaro.

"Don't forget the  dive" laughed MIa and Alvaro grinned.

"I'm curious how Vicky is" he said after a while.

"I think she will be nice, at least I hope so, Dani deserves a nice girlfriend"

They had walked quite a bit when the sky got a little too dark and Alvaro said "Let's go back to the car before the weather changes."

The first drops fell when they were at the car. Alvaro drove around a bit with MIa, he showed her a couple of nice places with a nice view.

Then they drove back to school. Juanma came towards them and said "The boys are in the hall, are you coming too?" Alvaro grinned and nodded.

"I'm going to change." he said and went to the room. Mia looked for Zoe and found her with Simon. Lupe and Gaspar on a bench near the go.

"Where are Clara and Roberto?" she asked.

"At Roberto's house, it's his grandma's birthday." said Lupe.

When Alvaro was on his way to the hall, Emanuel met him.

"Where is MIa" he asked.

"She wanted to look for Zoe," replied Alvaro, "why do you ask?"

"Because otherwise you are rarely seen allone," said Emanuel.

Alvaro grinned but Emanuel remained serious.

"You are way too close together. You are still so young and you already believe that it will last forever."

Alvaro looked questioningly at Emanuel. " Are you jealous?" asked he.

"No really not, but you are 18 and she is 16, you don't seriously believe that your relationship will last until you have children." said Emanuel. "If you ever look in statistics ..."

"I never look at statistics. I trust my feelings. We are happy and as long as that is this way  we are together"

"But she won't be happy with your family history for long."

Alvaro rolled his eyes and wanted to pass Emanuel. But he held on to him. "ALvaro, I don't mean that badly and I don't want anything from MIa. But she has also experienced a lot and as the situation is, I have concerns that you will stick it out."

"But that's not your problem," said Alvaro, who was slowly getting annoyed by the conversation.

"No, it's not and that's why I say it  again, I don't mean that bad, but I think it's a shame when someone suffers. And that will be Mia in the end."
