Author's pov:
Their love is different from most others. They're from two completely different worlds. He grew up wealthy and loved by everyone. What no one knows is that his past haunted him. From his drunk of a father who left him at a young age to his late fiancé who died in a horrible accident while carrying their child just a few years back. His fiancé was absolutely gorgeous. In fact, every woman he's ever been with has always been thin and beautiful. He didn't care for looks much. It was never all that important to him but to his friends and family it was. Everyone always told him he was perfect and beautiful. The thing is- he never understood why. He felt far from perfect. He felt like a complete mess of a man. He still does. He's a twenty-eight year old man who gave up on his music career to own a bakery shop. He did what he thought was best for him at the time. He loves his job and absolutely adores the enthusiasm of all the children who walk into the bakery. He's always felt this empty void. Instead of going to University as planned, he decided to take over his Grandmother's bakery after she passed away. When he finally found out his bakery was opening in different locations, he was elated. First, one near London. Then, one in California. He decided it'd be best to move to the states for a year to run the place and find someone to take charge after he leaves. After leaving his sister in charge of the place, he packs his bags, and heads off to Los Angeles. Once arriving, he checks out the place to make sure it's similar to the one in Holmes Chapel. To his surprise, it's even better. Luckily, he had a friend named Natalie who lived near by. They met while she lived in England for six years. She agreed to help him out as long as he interviewed her boyfriend, Colin. He happily agreed and started the process of finding people to work the shop.
Amara grew up struggling to pay rent and invisible by all her peers. No one even payed attention to her. She simply "wasn't good enough." At least that's what she always told herself. She isn't the "ideal" woman for society. She can't shop at many stores because they just don't simply carry her size. She's always felt like an outcast. Even her mother shut out her out most of the time. Her mom would leave for weeks at a time. Thankfully, her best friend Evelyn, who grew up wealthy, had her move into an apartment after high school. Evelyn is a beautiful woman. She's average height, small waist, big boobs, jet black hair, and green eyes. Amara is plus sized with a belly and stretch marks. Not only is she's plus sized but she's also a bit on the taller side. In high school she finally stopped growing at five feet, eight inches tall. Her blonde hair's always a mess. Her dull grey-blue eyes always shedding a tear at night when no one was looking. Once high school was over with, she couldn't have been more happier. She knew she'd need a job to help pay for school but most places turned her down. That was until she heard about the new bakery, "Hazza's" bakery, opening up fifteen minutes away from her school. Working at a bakery is definitely her last choice. She knew she'd be made fun of because of the way she looked. That wasn't important though. She needed a job and this is her last hope.
August 11
Amara walks into the beautiful modern-like bakery. The bakery centered between two other little shops. One being a sandwich place and the other a coffee place. The front was all glass so you can see into the bakery. There were a few tables placed here and there with barstools. The floors were black and white. In the back was a little red couch with a a lit up sign above it saying "Hazza's Bakery." Next to the couch was a juke box. To the left, was the counter which had signs hanging above to show off all the different kinds of pastries. there was a counter with a cash register on it and next to it was all the glass containers. The place was beautiful. She knew she was in love already. A lady at the front counter looks at her suspiciously.
"Sweetheart, can I help you? We don't open for another week." The lady's voice cracks in-between words. She sounded as if she smoked a pack of cigarettes' before getting there. Amara speaks up. "I'm Amara Meyers. I'm here for an interview." The woman examines her a moment. "Ah, yes. Mr. Styles will be with you in a few. He's in the back interviewing my boyfriend at the moment. I'm Natalie by the way." She smiles towards Amara which she returns the favor. Natalie's not exactly the ideal woman but she's beautiful. She's tall with brown hair and brown eyes so dark that they're almost black. Her glasses rounded and gold. "He's gorgeous, you know?" says Natalie. "Hmmm?" Amara says confused. She assumes Natalie is talking about her boyfriend but why say it to her? "Mr. Styles. Harry and I go way back. I lived in his hometown for six years. Him and I were inseparable. We even went to a few school dances together. I used to have the biggest crush on him. I was completely devastated when I found out my parents were moving us back to the states. I'm glad we did though because now I have Colin." The woman smiles. All Amara could think of is why the hell this woman is telling her all of this?
"Natalie, I'm almost finished up here. I'll take the next one in a minute." A man pops up around the corner for a moment. His accent immediately drawing Amara's attention towards him. She only saw a glimpse of him but she was in complete shock. She realized Natalie wasn't lying. He's breathtakingly beautiful. His brown messy hair and emerald green eyes absolutely captivating. She noticed a few tattoos even which just made her even more attracted. She knew that in this moment, she had developed a big crush on the beautiful man. It seems like hours before Amara hears her name being called into Harry's office in the back. She nervously holds herself together before entering. The room was plain with white wall, a desk and computer, along with a black leather couch in front of the desk. She could tell he hadn't settled in quite yet. "My apologies, that took a bit longer than I had anticipated. Between me and you, his background isn't the best. Anyways, I'm Harry Styles but please, just call me Harry. And you are?" She thinks to herself for moment before speaking. she felt speechless next to the man.
"I- uh. My name's Amara Meyers."
