Chapter 22 - Lesson on Nanba

Nico: "I wanna go to the movie theatre!"

Kiji: "The recreational facilities are for guards."

Rock: "Are there farms and markets too?"

Kiji: "Of course not, that would be wildly impractical."

Rock: "But ski slopes are fine...?"

Kiji: "Inmates are grouped by crime, traits and abilities they are then sent to the building best suited to deal with them."

Another diagram pops up and Kiji pointed with a long thin stick.

Kiji: "This here is my building, 3. And this is where we are at building 13. It's about a 30 minute monorail ride between them."

Nico: "That is far..."

Jinx: "What's a monorail?"

Kiji: "It's a train that goes above the ground."

Jinx: "What's a train?"

Kiji: "Has no one taught this child anything?!"

Rock: "We teach her as we go."

Kiji: "Anyway, due to my transit, I had to wake up an hour early today. I didn't even have time to do my make up. Not properly at least."

Rock: "That sounds rough, man..."

Nico: "Yeah..."

Kiji: "Well at least I was able to teach you all something."

Uno was on the floor hugging the Jyugo dummy, half asleep. Kiji gives him boot to the face.

Kiji: "PAY ATTENTION!!"

Uno: "What's the big idea?! You almost put a scar on my handsome face!!"

Jinx: "You wanna talk about scars, big brother...?"

Uno: "Uh-"

Kiji: "There's nothing handsome about it! I've evaluated all four of you!"

He pointed to Rock...

Kiji: "He's a 9..."

Nico...

Kiji: "He's a 10..."

Me...

Kiji: "She's a cute little 20..."

Jinx: "Huh...?"

And Uno...

Kiji: "You're a 2..."

Uno: "Oh come on! I deserve way more than just two points!"

Kiji laughed.

Kiji: "I was actually being generous to spare your feelings! Feel free to thank me."

Uno: "Alright then, so what's your score?!"

Kiji: "I am a solid 100."

Uno: "I'm not even a two out of ten? Yeah well, you're a mean spirited old bird!!"

Kiji: "I am in the prime of my youth, you braided potato!"

Uno: "Leave potatoes out of it!!! You're a bitter cranberry!!"

Kiji: "You better not be setting me up for a fruitcake joke!"

Uno growled and we all turned when we heard our cell door open.

Seitarou: "It's awfully noisy in here... Is everything okay? If there's anything I can do to help, don't hesitate to ask."

Jinx: "I wonder what Seitarou's score is..."

Rock: "Well, he is the champion of the 'Handsome Men of Nanba Prison Competition'."

Jinx: "That's a thing?!"

Uno: "YOU WANNA HELP, THEN GO DIE, PRETTY BOY!!"

Kiji: "AND MAKE SURE THAT I NEVER HAVE TO SHARE A FRAME WITH YOU AGAIN!!"

Seitarou: "Aah? But I didn't even do anything wrong..."

Nico: "Someone's on a short fuse today."

Rock: "He's probably just stressed because Jyugo isn't here."
