TW/CW: Implied Character Death
It was the fleeting hour of day when the moon and sun are high and bright at the same time. Like many things in my life, these summer nights wouldn't last much longer. I sat quietly on a bench, watching some seagulls fly above, yelling as they usually do. A napkin from my finished ice cream sat bunched up in my hand. The sound of the ocean washing upon the beach rang in my ears, an eerie yet beautiful lullaby. The sun and moon sat across from each other in the sky, and a breeze ran through my hair. Crimson loved these nights when she was here, how the breeze was cold, but the air around you hot, and the song of the ocean. I missed her. Her red hair, her slight permanent smile, her californian accent (which she denied having), her yells of joy as she skated down the pier, everything about her. Crimson was such a lovely girl, with a future planned out since she was 8. Major in art, move to New York, get a job, get married, have a few kids, and then tell them all about Cali. She was always that popular friend that always seemed like she would judge you upon first glance, but when you got to know her, she was the nicest friend you would ever have. She was top of her class, twice prom queen, and a great swimmer (Friend who also has wattpad and follows me if you're reading this I promise this person is not based on you, I promise, I just wrote this for fun and was like I need to make her good at something, oh I know, swimming!). She shone at the top of whatever she was doing, and she was always so helpful to anybody who needed it, but I guess everybody has their flaws, and her perfectness wss hers. It made her an easy target. It really hurts when you have to see your friend leave, but even harder to know you might never see her again. I knew that she was gone for good, and that today was the last i'd see her, because I was the one who buried her.
