Falling Apart

The beginning

The beginning of this story is kind of confusing, it was my first year of middle school and I wasn't very excited. I can tell you that. Me, Ellie, and Lin had to all go to this thing to introduce us 6th graders to middle school, every 6th grader had to go. I remember crying and having a panic attack right in front of Ellie because I thought we would stop being friends thanks to the new school, she said that wouldn't happen and it hasn't, we're in 8th grade now. The first day came around I sat with Ellie and our friend Jill and it stayed like that for a week or two but then when I noticed Lin sitting with our friend group from elementary school then I sat with them. It was very nice and I was happy until our friend Jake met Brinley then he stopped hanging out with us and went to hang out with Brinley and her friend group. I continued to hang out with Lin for the rest of the year and her friend group. I always jumped around my friends' different friend groups. The first week of school was very confusing in my opinion, you had to get used to switching classes and where your next class was. I wasn't very happy though in the beginning it was kind of scary and its understandable, the only class I was excited for was orchestra but then I found out all my friends were not in that class since I passed a little test to get into intermediate orchestra. I went in there on my first day, my teacher Mrs. Hilton sat me next to an 8th grader. I wasn't very sure how to say hi to him because I thought he would judge me for being in 6th grade. Instead he said hi to me and introduced himself and then asked about me his name was Rylan I told him that my name was Roxy and we sat by each other most of the year. I caught feelings for him and now that I look back at it, that was a mistake. Then Lin started acting different around our friend Ray. It was kind of weird because they were both acting differently around us all. No one understood what was going on between the both of them until we all noticed that Lin was wearing Ray's hoodie and he was wearing her scrunchie, which meant they were dating now that I think about it he never gave that scrunchie back to her. They both finally told Ray's friend group and Lin's friend group, aka my friend group that they were dating. We were all so happy, but little did they all know that I had a crush on Ray at that time too but I stayed quiet because they were a great couple and I didn't want to mess that up for them. Lin did so much for me in the past and I didn't want to mess up this relationship for her because she was so happy. As the school year continued my feelings for Rylan got much bigger and little did I know what was going to happen next. I continued to make more friends in orchestra and across the school because why not I had my foes like Brinley but we'll talk about her later.
