I sat there, stoned. The whole class was quiet.
"Huh? 'Was tentacles all along'...?" I repeated, not sure if my ears had deceived me earlier on.
He nodded. "Why, indeed it is. Please bring them to me once you are done with it. I am looking for proper grammar with little errors, and also whether you have conveyed the tentacle's beauty, so please check your work before submitting them to me. An example would be:
Not the storm of garden's snow
of flowers moving on
But sprouting there instead
was tentacles all along."
I stared at him with my mouth open. The way he said it sounded extremely poetic, but it seriously didn't make any sense. He even said that we were free to go home once we were done. Seriously? That would take ages!
That's bull.
With different sorts of complaints being heard, he interrupted us. "Now, now, instead of complaining, think about any slithery, marvelous phrases so you can go home earlier!" He insisted. He then waved his tentacles around, giving the slithery sound effect, which was horrendous and annoying. Sheesh, stop it already!
Not long after, Kayano had asked the teacher for his name. Now that I think about it, he never told us his name... Was that supposed to be a secret as well, just like why he insisted on teaching us?
He scratched his yellow head. "Uh... I don't really have the sort of name you'd give anyone..." He trailed off. So he doesn't have a name? "Go ahead and give me one."
Maehara Hiroto sweatdropped. "Wait, are you really sure about that?" He asked, wanting to really confirm his decision. He probably wanted to give him some weird-ass name or something.
The octopus nodded. "But right now, focus on your schoolwork. Meanwhile, I am just going to take a little rest," he informed as his body turned a light shade of pink as everyone started thinking of something to write.
Before a minute even passed, the sound of the chair being dragged on the floor made me look up, and I saw Nagisa walking to the front with his poem in hand. That was fast... How did he even-
My crimson eyes widened as I realized his true motives. Instead of a written poem on his sheet of paper, he had his knife hidden behind it. Genius, and it was the perfect length so it was completely out of sight too. I watched Kayano's reaction as her expression also turned into one with shock. What if Nagisa managed to stab him? It was after lunch time, and the teacher was usually slow in responding to people after that due to slight fatigue... If he managed to kill him... We would be safe.
Everyone watched as he swiftly grabbed the handle of the knife and attempted to stab the octopus. He was close to slicing his cells, but the yellow creature had stopped it, grabbing the handle of the green knife with a napkin. However, it seemed that Nagisa wasn't done yet. Apparently, it looked like he was attempting to hug the creature and I heard a soft click coming from my right. Immediately, something between Nagisa and the teacher exploded and loads of BB bullets came shooting at ridiculously high speeds.
