Huh. Despite being a weird ass creature who needed to be assassinated, he can really give good tips on how to kill him.
"...you'll never be able to kill me at my max speed of Mach 20," he finished with a mocking tone at the end.
My eyebrow twitched. I felt like taking what I said back.
I decided to speak up from my seat at the back of the class, pointing at him accusingly. "I'm sure you didn't dodge all those bullets! I mean, there are at least a hundred of them, considering the number of guns aimed at you earlier!"
Another student chimed in. "That's right! You could've just stood there taking the hits of these plastic bullets! I mean, they are just BBs anyway."
He turned to me. "I think you still haven't understand the concept of these bullets, Asano-sa-"
I felt a vein on my neck pulsing madly. I hated it when people call me by my foster name, and I've been correcting him about that for the past few weeks!
"It's Suzuki!" I corrected again.
Beads of sweat ran down his yellow forehead. "Pardon me, Suzuki-san. As I was about to say earlier on, these bullets are special. They are definitely not harmful to humans," He asked for one of the students' guns, which she hesitantly handed over. He then shot his right tentacle off, earning gasps from everyone.
All 26 students watched as the tentacle fell to the ground as the remaining part attached to his body flailed around, yellow liquid spewing out from the hole made.
"... but they are special anti-me bullets developed by the government. All just to kill me. As you can see, they slice through my cells like they were tofu, but of course, my body can regenerate itself after a few seconds," he continued as a new tentacle grew out from his right arm.
"Then again, you could end up shooting your eyes out if you're not careful enough," he warned, causing us to stare at him with wary looks. "Now put away all those BBs and guns. No shooting during lessons unless you are trying to kill me," he instructed.
"I do hope you can kill me before graduation, that is," he added, green stripes appearing on his face.
I scowled. That overconfident bastard.
I sighed as lessons started, with the first period being English. Writing four sentences on the board on the correct use of relative pronouns, he had asked Isogai for the odd sentence out of the four. He chose the first one, which made the teacher seem pleased with his answer. I sighed, wanting this day to end already.
How did it even come to this? Things were fine previously, but two major problems just had to appear right in our faces on the start of our third year.
*****
At the start of the year, breaking news got out that about 70% of the moon had exploded, been vaporized, whatever they said, leaving it to be in a permanent crescent shape.
