Breaking The Loop

Chapter Three

     I walk forward and step down on the board making the locker fall. I jump up onto it and climb up the other lockers blocking the doorway. I hop down and keep my arm around my stomach. It hurts so bad. Mono is beside me and he sees me holding my stomach. "Does it hurt?" I want to shrug it off and lie saying I'm fine, but something stops me.

     "Yes." I murmur. H gently moves my arm and lifts the hem of my T-shirt enough to look at my stomach. To my horror I have a huge gash in it where the bucket hit me. He shakes his head.

     "Not good." He drops the hem of my shirt and looks around for bandages. I search too but we find nothing. Sadly we continue forward now in search of bandages. I see the raised plank if wood and the duck toy warning us to well, duck. I point it out to Mono and grab his hand. We walk over the decoy plank and then when we lower the real plank I drag Mono down to the floor as the light swings down and smashes into the table beside us. I crawl out from under the light fixture and painfully climb up onto the table.

     I sit down next to a red drawing of what looks like an eye and I look at the gash. It's bleeding but not very heavily, I can go without bandages for a while longer. Mono is beside me and I tell him we should continue forward.

     We jump down from the table and I remember. This is the hallway where Six and Mono get separated. I'm not going to be taken by some stupid Bullies. I grab Mono's hand and march forward, confident that I can stop this part of the loop from happening. We walk forward and a hammer comes into sight. I know the locker will fall trying to trap Mono but I'm not letting him do this alone. I hold his hand and we walk forward. Suddenly the locker falls on top of me trapping me in complete darkness. "JAY!" I hear Mono scream from outside the locker. No. No. Nonono. This wasn't supposed to happen. I bang on the locker as I hear him scream my name as he's dragged away. I crawl out from under the locker and chase down the hallway to see the last Bully climb up a ladder and pull it up. They block off the area they escaped through and a tear slips out of my eye. I lost Mono.

     I wipe my eyes on the dirty hem of my shirt and go back over to the locker I got trapped under. I crawl over it and pick up the handle of the hammer. My stomach hurts and I know it's gonna hurt worse in a second. "HEY YOU!" I scream at the Bully looking into the next room. He turns and runs towards me.

     When he pauses to try to jump on me, I heave the hammer over my shoulder and hit him in the head smashing it to bits. The rest of his body falls to the ground lifeless. I see into the next room and see a Bully pulling apart a frog. I drop the hammer and sneak into the room. I see the raised plank and the desk right beside it. I smile as I sneak forward. I crawl under the desk and set off the trap. I watch as the bucket comes swinging down full force and smashes the Bully to pieces. I crawl out from under the desk and go over to a chair right in front of a door with a smashed window. I climb up onto the chair and I hop through the window.
 
     When I land I clutch my stomach in pain. I continue forward still holding my stomach. I find myself in the hallway right before I confront the Teacher. I wish there was some damn bandages in this damn school. I continue forward still holding my stomach and I walk past an elevator with the lock. I remember having to sneak through the classroom into the room beside it in game to get the key.

     I continue forward and I look around for bandages just in case. I finally give up and sneak forward and hide behind a cupboard as the Teacher writes something on the chalkboard. She stops and turns around turning a page in her book and then goes back to writing. I sneak forward and manage to get behind the middle desk before she stops to turn another page and continue writing again.

     I make it into the room with the key and silently let out the breath I was holding. I look around the room quickly for bandages but find none. Sadly I start climbing the bookshelf and when it starts to tip I jump off. It hits the floor hard, making a loud bang, I quickly grab the key and shove it in a pocket before running over to the box and sliding into it as the Teacher checks the room. She elongates her disgusting long neck and checks the room fully before closing the door.

     I sigh and crawl out from the box. I crawl through the vent she opened when she slammed the door and find myself in the bottom shelf of a cupboard. I slightly open the door to see the Teacher's legs right in front of me. She has a ruler and slaps it on the desk in front of her. She then walks over to another student's desk and I take my chance to sneak behind her desk.

     I wait at the far end of her desk ready to run for the elevator. I wait for her to get to a particularly far away desk before I run. I run as fast as I can with my stomach burning as I pull on the already damaged skin. The Teacher screeches and chases after me with her neck. Halfway to the elevator I hear her teeth snap down on the empty air behind me. I make it to the elevator and shove the key in the lock and opening it.

     The elevator opens and I run inside as the doors close behind me making me safe for now. The elevator doors open into the room with the shelf full of shoes. I ignore all the shoes and walk into the room with the Bully drawing all over the walls and floor. This is the room I have the most trouble with. This is the room I have to do flawlessly with a hurt stomach. This is the room I could die in.
