~4~ How typically unexpected

Clenching my fists, I grinded my teeth, asking for Aqua, my Aquabeek (yeah, I know, real original). He hopped gracefully into one of my barrels, ready as ever, and it wasn't long before I loaded him into my blaster and shot him. He transformed when he hit the speed limit, and sprayed a jet of ice-cold water at the HooliGang.

I barely registered their yells as they were forced a couple of feet back. Almost done. Just one more...

Loading my Vinedrill, I shot him and he collided with the rocky ground. Vines grew rapidly, as if they had been sprayed with a extremely fast growth elixir or spray, binding the three members. They pulled back and threw them with every once of strength in the green stems as far away as possible. Their bodies slamming into the ground from the great distance away made me wince.

"That has got to hurt," I said. My slugs hopped back, pumped up about their victory of a unfair fight. I hadn't realised that that was what they needed: some real action to keep them healthy by using their own powers.

"Awesome job, guys! That fight felt good; literally." I said. They chirped in excitement, or maybe exhilaration. My vision connected with the blasters from the three members. Hmm. Double bonus. "And look," I went over to pick one up, then threw it upwards, making it do a somersault. "We even have souvenirs. I wonder how much someone would pay for this..."

"Terralynn!" gasped Flame, shocked by my words.

I laughed at his outburst. "I'm kidding. But seriously, they are going to have to buy some new ones soon. These are kinda old-fashioned, no offence."

Once my slugs had jumped back into the bag, I was ready to leave, until...I suddenly had the slightest suspicion that I was being watched. Through the leather of my boots, I felt the ground for the tiniest vibration that screamed movement. All my focus driven into my actions, I didn't care when Tangle crawled into the remaining barrel of my blaster. She was one of my most trustworthy slugs, and could sense danger a mile away, so I learned to let her do as she pleased.

Sure enough, I felt something.

I spun around, aiming my blaster at the purple creature that had suddenly appeared behind me. He yelped, with me realising that he was a molenoid. A very familiar one of that. A bandanna was secured around his head, and he had a bandolier around his waist with the same star logo on it. I inhaled quickly, recognising him as a member of the Shane Gang. The fierce look temporarily wiped itself off my features, replaced by mild surprise.

"Wait! Don't shoot!" he almost pleaded. No problem; I didn't know what to do anyway. For the first time ever, I was frozen in a weird position. Depends on how you see it. A girl pointing her only (for now) line of defense at a molenoid...was that awkward? I couldn't tell, even when I placed the image in my head.

"Why were you spying on me?" I demanded without knowing. Apparently my voice had a mind of it's own. Why did these things keep occurring?

"Well, I wasn't the only one..."

As if on cue, three mechas stepped into my line of sight out of nowhere. I didn't have to think to know that they were the Shane Gang. All of them. Confusion was definitely written all over my face of why they would do this. Didn't they know it was rude to spy?

My blaster still up, I wondered if I should lower it or not. They weren't going to hurt me, were they? What exactly did they want?

I raised an eyebrow, expectant. The molenoid- what was his name again? -gulped, not sure if I was going to pull the trigger. Slowly, and somewhat shakily, my blaster made it's way down to my side, where I hooked it onto my belt.

"Ahem," Pronto, I remembered, began, "before anyone starts, Pronto just wanted to say," he took a deep breath in, and with a deafening shout, yelled, "that was AWESOME!!"
