Benefits of being God

"Oh my me" Lucifers words resonated throughout the Colosseum. Then there was a slight gust of wind.
"Really, that's all?" Lucifer spoke and began lowering the flaming sword as everyone looked at him, still on their knees.

"I thought that me becoming God would make something happen. I mean after all I am God. Oh maybe I can make something happen" 
Everyone started getting up and some were whispering to each other about what was happening and what was going to happen now that Lucifer was God.

"I can hear all of you, you know," he smirked and said in his iconic tone, "One of the benefits of being God I suppose."

Chloe walked up to him fidgeting with her hands looking a bit nervous, "So...um...how do you feel, now that you are, well, you know, God?" she had a hard time believing that it was true and this clearly wasn't the only thing on her mind.

"Pretty good actually" he said with a smile, but he could tell she wanted to say something else. "What's wrong, Detect- sorry Chloe," he corrected himself, he was about to continue but he realized people were listening in, "Actually do you mind if we speak somewhere private?" they walked out of the colosseum and everyone continued talking and some of the other angels left and made their way back to heaven.

"So Chloe, what's on your mind?" he asked in a caring voice.

She hesitated for a second to compose her thoughts, "Well back in heaven, right before you sacrificed yourself for me, you said that you loved me, and um- well I was just wondering" she paused to look at him before continuing, "what changed? I mean just a few weeks ago you told me that you were incapable of love, and i'm  just a bit confused about all of it." She looked down for a bit and continued fidgeting with her hands, then slowly looked back up at Lucifer.

"You made me realize something, and like you said we make our own choices, and you chose to be with me and I choose to be with you. I meant everything I said up there, I really do love you Chloe. I always have, I was just too foolish to realize it, but I have now. I now know that I am worthy of you, and it's not just because I'm God, I realized it up in heaven." he took a second to look at Chloe and to think about what  he was going to say next. "And I realized that you choosing to be with me means you believe that I am worthy, so that made me realize that I choose you too and don't want anything to get in the way of our relationship moving forward." He moved a bit closer to her, "you love me, and I love you." He took her hands in his own and looked her in the eyes with a heartfelt look. They stood like that for a while, just staring into each other's eyes and holding hands.

Chloe looked down for a second and when she looked back up, before she could say anything Lucifer knew exactly what to do, so he gave one last glance at her before leaning in closer waiting for her to do the same. When she did, he pulled her in a bit and kissed her. But there was something different about this kiss something incredible, maybe it was the fact that he was now God, or the fact that he said he loved her, but it was different in a good way, both leaned in closer, their bodies as close as could be. Lucifer moved his hands up and gently held her face, and Chloe's hands rested on his chest, and they continued to kiss. They both paused and took a moment to look at each other, only to be interrupted. Out of the corner of his eye Lucifer could see none other than his twin, Micheal.

"You've got to be kidding me" Lucifer said to Micheal in a very annoyed voice. " What do you want?"

"Well brother, I wanted to congratulate you on becoming God. I mean after all you gave me a second chance, I don't what to ruin it." Micheal spoke calmly, but Lucifer could tell that he was only doing this to hopefully get a lesser punishment from him.

"Yes, now don't make me regret doing that." Lucifer was still clearly annoyed. "Now I know that you really want to know what I'm going to do with you, but I don't know yet, and I have other important matters that I have to handle so if you don't mind," Lucifer began to walk back into the colosseum and Chloe quickly followed behind him.

Having everyone's votes meant that Lucifer was now the new God, he had won, he beat Micheal, he was finally worthy of Chloe, and he had said those three special words to her, he had it all. This was the next chapter of his life and he was ready for it, or so he thought. Him being the new God meant he had a lot of new responsibilities but also abilities, such as being all knowing. He would know everything that was going to happen and everything what everyone was thinking, including the detective. But he couldn't call her "detective" anymore because she was no longer a detective, she was the new Goddess. Her and Lucifers relationship was taking its next step as well, and this was a good thing.

And of course Linda and Amenadiel had their hands full with baby Charlie and Linda's first daughter had found her. She was still trying to get to know her mom and half brother. Ella was still upset because both Chloe and Lucifer were both leaving the precinct. And everyone was still messed up about Daniels death, especially Trixie. She had lost her father, thankfully Lucifer was able to save Chloe, Trixie had already lost her dad, but if she lost both of her parents, she would be all alone.

Dan was in hell. He still hadn't dealt with his guilt over charlotte, but maybe with Lucifer being God and all he could change that, it wouldn't be the first time for someone to come back to life. But for now he was suffering down there in the place where Lucifer had spent most of his life, thousands and thousands of years, torturing all those souls. Most of whom felt guilty over little things, and did not deserve to be down in hell, but they still were, including Daniel. Who had finally began to pick himself up and pull his life together. But Micheal had a different plan, he had him killed, but Lucifer was going to make Micheal pay. He had already cut off his wings with the flaming sword, and it was going to get it much worse.  After all, he had Dan killed and he killed Remeil and almost killed Chloe, but he would be paying for that soon enough.

Lucifer and Chloe made their way back into the colosseum, leaving Micheal behind. Lucifer quickly looked around for Amenadiel who was talking to a few of their sibling, when he noticed Lucifer was walking toward him.

"Would you excuse me?" Amenadeil said as he began walking towards Lucifer. "Well congratulations, Luci."

"Thank you, brother" then Lucifer thought of something that made him laugh a bit.
"What's so funny?"

"You know how you've always been Gods right hand, his warrior, well I suppose that makes you my wingman now" he said with a smile.

Amenadeil didn't say anything, he just looked at Lucifer and walked away. He knew that he would always fight on his side and help him out, but he didn't want the relationship he had with Lucifer to be like what he had with his dad. His dad would give him orders, and he would execute them without question, he just did what he was told. He hoped it wouldn't be like that at all.

"Wonder what's his deal" Lucifer turned to Chloe, completely oblivious. "Anyways.. um Chloe, would you like to come to my place?"

"I would love to, but I really should go pick Trixie up," she said with an apologetic look.
"Oh, yes, you should, I'll..uh- see you later then" he said sounding a bit morose.

"Oh no, don't get me wrong, I would really love to, but I want to make sure Trixie is ok, I know that she's going through a tough time and I want to be there for her. So um..next time?"

"Yes, next time. And don't worry I understand, you need to be there for the your daughter. So, just go home and get some rest.. and a shower" he gestured to the blood that covered her shirt.

"Oh, yeah that's probably a good idea, bye Lucifer" Chloe leaned in for one more kiss before leaving.
While Lucifer was disappointed that he couldn't be with her, maybe Chloe not being there was a good thing, it gave him some alone time to figure out his God powers.
