As days went on, the time was winding down until Winter Break.

Things around Hogwarts had been getting worse with Umbridge around.

More rules had been strung onto the wall in front of the Great Hall, all thanks to the Pink Toad. It was basically becoming impossible for the group to sneak around and find secret spots for them to practice.

After trying to find a spot where they couldn't be found doing spells to fight against the Dark Arts, they finally had been given the opportunity to use the Room of Requirement.

It had shown up to Neville one late night as he was walking back from dinner, instantly making him realize it could be put to use.

Daisy had been so focused on helping with Dumbledore's Army, she was catching herself slacking in her actual classes. She also realized she hadn't checked up with her brother and their friends recently either.

Or even Mattheo.

But honestly, Mattheo hadn't been trying to talk to her much either. Ever since their night in the Astronomy Tower, he was avoiding her like the plague.

If she was honest with herself, she missed his snide comments and remarks. She hated that she missed him in any sort of way.

It wasn't as if she never saw him around though. When she did see him, he was always talking to Astoria. He would look her way when she did see him, and he would instantly pull Astoria away with him and out of Daisy's line of vision.

Daisy would be lying to herself if it didn't hurt her a little bit. When she would spot them together though, she was always with one of the twins or Hermione.

With Hermione knowing about her and Mattheo, she didn't seem to think much of it. The twins, however, did notice how off it was. They would ask Daisy why Mattheo was acting the way he was, or why he would pull Astoria away with him and away from her.

Her answers always consisted of the same thing.

He knows I am not a fan of her.

Oh, he just does that to make me jealous. We argued last night.

She's his tutor, so it isn't anything major.

The twins hated these excuses. Fred mainly. It made him often want to go after Mattheo, but he knew he shouldn't because he knew how upset Daisy would be about it.

That was until one late study night, something clicked in Fred's brain.

He was sitting in the common room with George and the Golden trio, before jumping up from his spot, books flying to the ground. The entire group jumped at his sudden movements.

"Bloody hell, Freddie. What is it?" George lets out a breath, hand over his heart to catch his breath.

He instantly looked at Hermione with a look, making her quint her eyes in confusion. "What?" she asks. He puts his hands on his hips.

"Mattheo. I think he is cheating on Daisy with Astoria," he says matter-of-factly. The entire group looked at him with slightly widened eyes.

Ron snorts and shook his head. "Fred-"

"No no no. I'm sure of it. There's no other reason as to why he would be so secretive when he is around that snake. Daisy always makes the same excuses, and I think she knows. She just doesn't want to admit it." Fred says, pacing around the room.

Hermione shook her head. Of course, she knew it all, but she didn't wanna be the one to say what was really going on. "You're speaking absolute rubbish, Freddie. There isn't anything going on," she argues, Fred looks at her with a knowing look.
