chapter 6

i get out the car, arriving at school. josh has been giving me weird looks all morning. maybe he's so used to me waking up early and being responsible, like the best older sister i am.

my first few classes moved by pretty quick and it was already lunch. i was nervous to see sam after what happened last night, and well this morning. what was so special about her? she was just a basic hot white girl.

kate, simon and i walk into the cafeteria, straight to the long line. i scan the cafeteria looking for sam, and catch her chewing on her cheese burger.

after sitting at the same seat as yesterday, we talk for a while about the party from last night. "i'm surprised you are even here, you were pretty wasted last night" i smile at simon , while poking the salad on my plate with a fork.

i head to the trash can to throw away my trash, "hey deena" i turn to see sam awkwardly looking at me
"hi sam, what's up?" i slightly smile
"could i copy your biology notes, I was a little distracted today." sam says while playing with her hands

"of course" i smile and walk away, kind of confused, why would she ask me out of all people

i head to my locker and shuffled through my journals, finally finding biology. once i turn around to find sam, i look down and see sam tying her shoe. "oh hi" i say looking down
"hi! sorry if i just stuck up on you." she stands up. i look at her tidying her self  "here are the notes" i hand to her.

"thank you, i'll give it back when i see you" she lightly smiles

sam always looked sad to me, she never really talked that much with her friends, maybe something at home.

the rest of the school day went by pretty fast, i head to my car and was about to drive off until i see sam and some boy who sat next to sam arguing on the side walk. i see her try to walk away until he grabs her wrist and pulls her closer aggressively, that's when i decided to go check on her

"hey sam, you ready to go?" i smile
"y-yea let's go" i glare at the boy and he lets go kinda confused

i walk sam to my car and we both get in.

"who was that" i ask concerned
"my boyfriend" she looks down playing with her hands
"are you happy with him?" i say, actually sad she has a boyfriend. she looks at me and starts to tear up, soon tears are coming out. i wipe her tears "hey it's gonna be ok" i sadly smile.
she looks at me "how can you be so nice to someone you've only known for one day" she smiles cleaning her wet cheeks. "your just hot" i sarcastically answer, causing her to hit my shoulder. we both share a few laughs before i start driving.

"where's your house?" i ask focused on the road
she leads me with her finger and voice. we finally arrive and she turns to me "do you want to come in?" she smiles
