"MA'AM THE BOARD members are now waiting." sabi ng kanyang sekretarya. Pero malayo ang kanyang iniisip simula ng mangyari 'yun sa kanilang dalawa. Goodness gracious, how can I easily forget that?
Two weeks have passed pero parang kahapon lang nangyari ang mga 'yun. The feeling of having him on her side is heaven. Kahit itanggi man niya sa kanyang puso, hinahanap hanap niya parin ang presensya nito. Pero kailangan mawala ang nararamdaman niya, kailangang kailangan.
"Ma'am" pukaw ng sekretarya niya.
"What?!" biglang napadungo ang kanyang sekretarya dahil sa sigaw niya. "I'm sorry marami lang akong iniisip."
"It's okay ma'am. By the way ma'am, after your meeting with the board you have also a meeting with your manager later at 2pm urgent po raw."
"Okay. Thank you, Ina."
After the talk ay dumeretso na siya sa conference room. This meeting is for the expansion of her clothing line ang 'E'. Her company started way back 2001 and due to public demand and increase of sales ay napagdesisyonan na niyang magdagdag ng stores.
Huminga munasiya ng malalim bago pumasok sa loob. "Goodmorning ladies and gentlemen. Hindi n ko mgpapaligoy pa, this meeting is for the expansion of my clothing line. A lot of people and when I say a lot it means thousands of them want me to add more stores in different parts of the country and later maybe in other country as well. But for now, my plan is to add 2 more here in Metro and that will be done this year. ASAP"
nagkaginginan ang mga board members sa kanyang announcement. And one of them said "Okay. But we need a professional engineer to make it possible, since ang target mo ay this year matatapos."
"Yes, of course. I will find the best one to work with us. Give me a week or two to find the engineer the will fit for our expansion."
"We are looking forward for the expansion, Gab. Because more stores, more customers and if more customers it means more profit." one board member said with a smile.
"But Gab, if you will be expanding you will get busy at alam naman natin na may upcoming fashion show event ka outside the country. Paano mo mahahandle ang expansion ng business?" this guy is really up to something.
"I know that, Mr. Lim. Kaya nga kukuha tayo ng professional at maasahan na engineer to handle this if I'm away dahil kapag nakuha natin ang the best - our business will be in great hands." sabay taas ng kilay ko na napatahimik sa kanya.
"Okay. So if wala na kayong sasabihin pa. This meeting is over." sabay walk out sa conference room.
'I HEARD na mageexpand ang clothing line ni Elle." Ade said.
That's right after ng meeting nila eh nabalita na ka agad ito sa akin. So fast isn't? Dahil mayroon akong kumpare na isa sa board member ni Elle.
"Yeah. And they are finding an engineer." napatingin ako sa malaking glass window ng opisina. "I think I found a way kung paano ako makakalapit ulit sa kanya."
"And that will be?"
Tumgin ako sa kapatid ko "Be her professional engineer" I smirk. "After all, I trained for how many years to become an engineer. Mawawalan ng saysay 'yun if I don't use it, right?"
"Very smart, Kuya." he chuckled.
I trained for almost 6 years to become an engineer sa America. Because that's my dream and this dream of mine will help me get closer to her, again. After that night, alam ko g may lugar pa ako sa buhay at puso niya. Hindi mangyayari 'yun kung wala na ako sa buhay niya.
"Goodluck, bro. Sana makuha mo na siya, ulit"
PAPUNTA NA ako ngayon sa resto kung saan naghihintay si Pam. Para saan na naman kaya ito? Nung nakita ko na siya ay agad akong lumapit.
"Pam" I sit in front of her.
"Elle. Thank God you're here."
Nabigla ako sa reaksyon niya. "Why? Anong problema pala?"
Inabot niya sa akin ang isang envelope. "This is a one year contract given by Haze Company for you to become their model sa kanilang bagong lingerie."
I open and read it. Damn, 2 million for one year? Ang yaman naman ng kompanyang ito.
"For 2 million? Bakit naman sila lalabas ng malaking pera para sa isang taong kontrata?"
"Because you are Elle. They want you so they invest big amount for you. So, game ka ba?"
I read it again and again. Pero bigla kong naalala ang expansion ng company. "Pam, masyado akong busy for this year. Magkakaroon ng expansion ang clothing line ko and this will be happening after this month. At isa pa, mayroon pa akong fashion show sa New York right?"
"Expansion ng Elle? Wow, congrats for you. But this opportunity is so great para masmakilala ka pa sa ibang bansa."
Napaisip ako. Yes, may point siya. Pero ang rami ko ng iisipin pagtatanggapin ko pa 'yan.
"I don't know, Pam. Give me a week to think about this. May kailangan pa akong gawin eh."
"And that is?"
"To find an engineer for my expansion. I'm in need for an expert for two weeks only."
"Wow, two weeks lang? But how?" I sigh. "I don't know."
"Okay. But tell me immediately if tatanggapin mo ang offer, okay?" she hold my hand and I smiled and nod.
Habang nagchichikahan pa kami ni Pam for my scheduled fashion show. Someone caught my eye. It's him.
And when our eyes met, he smile at me. At di ko namalayan na papunta na siya sa pwesto namin.
"Goodafternoon, Elle" our eyes fell at him, so shock at his gestures. Him holding a bouquet of flowers with a smile plaster in his face. Oh god.
