All We Do

Chapter 1

Caesar

The Sun beamed in my eyes as I roll over to wake up. I sat up and just looked around my room for a moment. All of these boxes I have to unpack. I can't believe I'm 19 with my first high end apartment. And I did it all by myself.

See I come from the projects. Where motherfuckers get killed for all the wrong reasons. Not too many can say they made it to where I'm at from my hood.  I looked at my phone to check the time and it was 12:30 p.m.

I got up and proceeded to find some clothes and started my morning routine. Afterwards I started to unpack some more boxes. And make my apartment to look more home-ish.

I sat down on my couch to see what I wanted to do today. So I called up my boy Bryson to see if he wanted to come over for a few and help me unpack some boxes.
"Hello"

"Bryson !!" I said as he picked up the phone

"Wassup bro !"

"Shit dude, you wanna come by to my new apartment and help me fix it up ?"

"Sure gang, I'll be there in two hours."

"Alright bet." I said then hung up.

Jersey
I opened my eyes to see that it was 12:30 p.m. i might as well get up to start my day. I went into my closet and picked out an outfit for today because I have to work tonight at 7.

After my morning routine I went down stairs in my luxurious high end apartment and made breakfast. Eggs bacon and toast sounds good right now with some rice.

While I was cooking my mom FaceTimed me...

"Good afternoon mom."

"Good afternoon sweetie. I called you this morning is everything alright ?" She asked concerned as ever.

"Yeah mom I overslept this morning. But I just took my shower now I'm making breakfast." I said whisking my eggs.

"Oh okay. But um, me and dad was just checking on ya. You know we are really proud of you sweet heart and we want nothing but the best for you."

"I know mom and I appreciate that. I just can't believe it's been 6 months since I moved out" I giggle.

"I know I know. It's not the same waking up and having your only daughter gone. And Josiah is really working my nerves right now." She said referring to my little brother.

"How is he anyways ?" I asked.

"He is going crazy because you know his graduation is in two months right ?" She said.

"Yeah I know he's super exited because I was."

"Yeah I remember lol, but come by and see us Sunday. I'm making dinner for the family. Joel is coming home for Sunday dinner and he is bringing Tasha and the baby." She said smiling.

"OMG ! Yes ! I'll be there. I'm so ready to see my niece with her cute self !!" I exclaimed.

"Honestly. Well I'm going to let you get back to cooking. I love you bunny !"
