Emilia: But...You didn't need to defend me!

Regulus looked at Emilia, slightly suprised at her raising her voice.

Regulus: That's correct, I didn't have to do it, but I have the right to do what I want. So while I do agree that you should be the one to call them out on it. It is still my right whether I want to call them out on it or not. Naturally, you wouldn't take that right away from me, would you?

Emilia: But, I trusted you when we entered the castle!

Regulus: With what? What did you trust me with?

Emilia: Huh?

Regulus: You never told me to not do anything, while yes, originally I wasn't planning to do anything. You never told me not to do anything, but even if you told me not to do anything, I would have still done it, since I won't allow anyone to violate my rights, I would have atleast told you that I would do what I desire. So just saying that you trusted me, isn't a valid argument, and it's rather childish.

Emilia looked down for a moment before saying....

Emilia: Then....Why did you duel Julius?

Regulus: Don't assume that I started his little temper tantrum, he was the one that dared to force me to that sand pit just for him to assault me.

Emilia: But you almost killed him!

Regulus: Don't assume things like that, like you actually know what happened back there, It's pretty insulting actually that you dare assume that I nearly killed him because "it was fun" Do I look like I'm a sadist that does these kinds of things for fun?

Emilia: I-I'm not saying that! I'm asking why you did it!

Regulus: Hah? You didn't ask me that. You said "but you almost killed him" like he didn't deserve it. Why would you try and twist your own words to fit your own story? Don't try and make me look like I'm some kind of piece of shit who can't learn self control. But, since you want to know why I did it, the-

Emilia: Just tell me! Why would you do that?!

Regulus: Seriously, what's with you people that I've met in the last two months and interupting me? It almost feels like I'm talking to a bunch of idiots. You should seriously work on your behaviour, it would probably help your chances to become ruler. But it's not like it matter too much now, you asked me why, so I'll tell you.

Emilia nodded slighty and tried to look intimidating, but failed, completely.

Regulus: That "knight" Sentenced me to death.

Emilia's eyes widened, as she clearly didn't expect that response.

Regulus: Honestly, who does he think he is? He calls himself a knight and yet he goes around and randomly sentences people to death? What an iresponsible way to use your authority, truly he is the absolute scum of the earth. Just because I called out his superiors for their flaws and he decides to assault me because it might make his position look less valuable? It's completely ridiculous, if you ask me. Also why are you blaming me for torturing him? It wasn't even my idea to do that to him. After all, I'm not a sadist, I'm just a simple man who wants to live a nice life.

Emilia looked deep in thought while he was talking, but her ears perked up when she heard him talking about it not being his idea.

Emilia: Eh? It wasn't your idea?

Regulus: Of course not. Why would you just assume that? With how long we've lived together at this point, it's insulting that you accuse me like that without even looking deeper into the whole situation. Normally, people would atleast look into these into these kinds of things before making their judgement. Of course, there's nothing I have to be judged for, I'm flawless, after all.
