Renga!! On Ice

||𝙴𝚊𝚜𝚢 𝚊𝚜 𝙿𝚒! 𝚃𝚑𝚎 𝙶𝚛𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝙿𝚛𝚒𝚡 𝙵𝚒𝚗𝚊𝚕 𝚘𝚏 𝚃𝚎𝚊𝚛𝚜||

The Grand Prix Finals, a competition bringing together skaters of the world. Each fighting to the top of the ranks, reaching to become the best of the best, Langa Hasegawa. Although for some, reaching the top comes with time, trial, and error. 

Reki Kyan, a younger skater here for the first time at the Grand Prix, representative of Japan. Realization hit once they showed the scores, legendary Langa Hasegawa in first place, and Reki in last. The stress of his fennec fox's untimely death, and the pressure of his first time competing here at the Prix Finals. As Reki struggles to collect himself, he takes his phone and tells his mom about the loss. The young skater continues to the bathroom after the call, needing a break from all the commotion. But as luck will have it, another skater enters behind him, a certain junior Canadian skater. Miya Chinen. 

"Hey, I'm competing in the senior division next year. We don't need another weakling like you in the same bracket. Slimes like you should just retire already."

Miya gets in Reki's face, standing on his tiptoes, and Reki gulps.

"You moron!"

Miya tsks and exits, leaving behind a startled Reki. Reki casts down his eyes.

"Even if I left the sport, there'd be tons of talented young skaters rising through the ranks..."

As Reki walks out of the bathroom, he sees none other than Langa walking out a set of doors with Miya and their coach, Kaoru Sakurayashiki

"Miya"

Reki turns his head to the sound of the Canadian skater's name and realizes that the two are together, Langa about to criticize the younger...

"About your free performance, the step sequence you used could use some more..."

Miya turns his head over to the taller in annoyance

"I won, so who cares? Quit nagging, Langa."

Miya is clearly done talking to the older skater, as he places his headphones on his ears, turning away from the other Canadian.

One year later, in March at Okinawa Station, Okinawa. Petals from cherry blossom trees fall through the air. The sounds of trains leaving can be heard. Reki is seen heading down the escalator, suitcase in tow.

"It's been five years since my last visit to Okinawa. This old station even has elevated tracks now."

Reki gasps as he steps off the escalator. There are many posters of Reki plastered on the walls of the train station. They read: "We're Rooting for You!!! Okinawa Native Figure Skater Kyan Reki".

"Th-This is..."

"Reki!"

Reki jumps up, startled and flailing his arms.

"Why are you skulking around?"

K-Kojiro-kun?!

Kojiro twirls around with a banner.

"Welcome back Reki, after five long years!"

"Kojiro-Kun, wh-why are you here?"

The old friend walks up to Reki and gives him a nice harsh pat on the back, 

"Stand up straight, will you?"

"Oh, right... of course, you wouldn't miss any info on me coming back here..."

As others begin to notice the slight commotion, people begin to take a look at the scene, and that means unwanted strangers began to recognize the skater,
