(A/N: This story will most likely be in Ziggy's POV)
DATE: JULY 12TH 1978 Cindy and I arrive at Camp Nightwing, I can think of a million other places I rather be. My sister, on the other hand, is ecstatic. She even used her own money to buy herself a Sunnyvale polo shirt. As if that'll fool anyone. My grip on my belongings is firm, I didn't bring as nearly as much as Cindy. I don't need that much, I plan to keep to myself in my cabin anyways. Knowing Cindy she already has an itinerary of activities planned for us campers, I can hardly wait to gauge my eyes out.
I make my way to the cabin I'm forced to reside in for the summer, cabin five. I have yet to see who else is staying with me, I'm okay as long as I'm away from Sunnyvalers. When we arrived Cindy had run to Tommy and we went our separate ways, which is really no surprise. We don't exactly get along, plus her virgin boyfriend annoys me. As I am putting my bags under my bed I hear the cabin door swing open, my attention shifts. I turn my head to see the back of another camp counselor. I can tell that he's brunette, sort of tall, and had broad shoulders. He's helping another camper bring in their belongings into the cabin. I patiently wait for him to turn around, having an idea already in my head who it is. I'm right.
The boy turns around, and it's Nick Goode, camp counselor, and future Sherriff just like his Sunnyvale daddy. I feel my eyes unintentionally roll as he walks into the cabin. I turn back around to mind my own business and continue unpacking. I can't refrain from side-eyeing him. The sound of the door shutting makes me turn, and I'm face to face with Nick. If I could guess, five feet was separating us.
"Ziggy." He says softly, smirking.
"Nick" I nod, arms crossed. I try to walk past him but he blocks me repeatedly. "Knock it off, I'm not in the mood, Goode." I can feel the stern look growing on my face. Even worse, I can see his amusement, he enjoyed seeing me angry. "What's funny?"
"You. Cmon, I know Ziggy Berman isn't in any rush to go do camp activities. I know you better than that." He grabs my arm gently. I look up at him and he releases his grasp.
"Let's get one thing straight, you don't know me." I spat. I roughly move my shoulder against his body and walked past him, shoving the door wide open. I hear his footsteps behind me, my orange hair blowing behind me from the wind.
"Ziggy, wait. I figured-.." He continues to try to catch up to me, and he finally does. "I figured maybe, we could keep each other company this summer," he asks hopingly.
I shake my head laughing as if it was the funniest thing I have ever heard.
"You're joking, right? Why would I ever want to spend my summer with a Sunnyvaler." I cross my arms.
A laugh escapes Nick's mouth, "Berman, you're spending your summer with a bunch of Sunnyvalers.." he continues to laugh.
"Screw you, Goode." I flick him off and walk in the other direction. I feel his eyes on me as I walk away.
