Chapter 1

Sabrina looked at herself in the bathroom mirror one last time, she was wearing denim jeans with a white simple t-shirt. She desperately wanted to make sure everything was perfect; She had worked so hard to be where she was today and, after all those years of working for her father, she was finally the CEO of the tech company he had founded many years ago.

She walked out of the bathroom and headed to her office to grab her phone and some things she needed for a meeting.

A few hours passed by and the meeting with the board was as tedious as Sabrina thought it would be, she tried to take her thoughts away from the fact that she was probably going to see -him- later today.

Elon and Sabrina met years ago, when he bought a huge amount of shares of her company. She had always known him as a friend of her father but somehow in between one of his divorces with his second wife they had a fling, it ended when Elon got together with his wife again and it got complicated when he filed for divorce just three weeks ago.

It all started when they found each other at a mutual friend's party, she had never seen him in a casual environment and after a few drinks he finally gathered the courage to come talk to her, the two talked and talked for hours until everyone else had left and then he invited Sabrina to his house to spend the night, she declined. And she thought part of him was scared of not seeing her again after that but he managed to get her number and asked her out the next day.

Sabrina was hesitant about the whole thing, he had just broken up with his wife and she had always been careful about mixing business with pleasure but she figured a couple dates wouldn't hurt anyone, she was wrong. They fell for each other really fast and one simple thing turned into a whole love affair, it took a couple of months for them to end it, mostly because of the fact that Sabrina was young and busy trying to learn how to keep a company alive and Elon was always traveling so they didn't have time for a relationship and -also- there was the fact that he had the sudden realization that he was still in love with his ex-wife.

That happened last year and they remained good friends but eventually couldn't keep up with that friendship and they just stopped talking to each other. That was their love affair. Blinkered, a nighttime thing, a dream thing.

Sabrina was waiting for Elon in her office, he couldn't attend the meeting she had earlier with the other board members so he asked her secretary for an appointment to discuss some of the changes she wanted to make in the company.

At exactly 7:00 pm the phone on her desk rang, it was her assistant, Mary.

"Ms. Vanderbilt, Mr. Musk is here, should I let him in?" She asked.

"Yes, let him in." Sabrina answered.

She took a deep breath and unconsciously ran her fingers through her hair to make sure everything was in order. The door opened to reveal his tall manly figure covered by some black jeans and his usual matching black shirt. He walked into the office as Sabrina stood up and they locked eyes for the first time in months. He looked so familiar and his presence was comforting Sabrina's growing anxiety.

"It's good to see you, Sabrina." He awkwardly said as he stretched his hand in front of her.

"It's good to see you too!" She smiled shaking his hand.

A couple of minutes had passed and they were both sitting down. She was just explaining some technical stuff to him trying to avoid any subject not related to work. He was quietly listening, his gaze all over her old lover while she read through some documents.

"Sab?" Elon interrupted leaning forward in his chair.

"Yes?" Sabrina answered still looking at the papers on her desk.
