"Yes, I've never seen her in my life." "Okay
sir, we'll have Officer Davis ask you some
more questions later." The man looked tired,
he had dark circles under his eyes, I looked
down at his badge, 'A. Denton' "Alright, what
do I do now?" "Well, you've had a rough
night, so I think you should go home and get
some sleep." "Sleep? How the hell am I going
to be able to sleep when I just found a
woman in my closet that tried to kill me, not
even two hours ago?" I almost shouted at
him, "I'm sorry Mr. Tanner, do you have any
friends or relatives you can visit?" I sighed
and ran a hand through my hair. "Yeah, I got
a buddy about twenty minutes from here."
"Perfect, we'll call you tomorrow to answer
some more questions, have a good night Mr.
Tanner, "Thank you Officer, you too." I got
up and walked out of the station. I saw one
of the police women smile and wave at me, I
smiled softly and returned the wave. "God
she's cute," I thought to myself as I clicked
the unlock button on my car. I stuck the key
in the ignition and started it, but then I just
sat there. One hand on the steering wheel,
and one hand on the gear shift. I let my
hands fall in my lap, and my head softly hit
the top of the steering wheel. Then I cried,
hard and rough sobs, tried to escape but I
was trying my best to keep them down.
Then I let the tears come. "You can't cry
here." I said to myself and grabbed the gear
shift and shifted it into reverse and pulled
out of the parking lot, I made it two minutes,
and I had to pull off to the side of the road. I
left the headlights on and the car still
running, I cranked the stereo up to twenty
