~Nicole's pov~

The first day of school. My alarm clock rang at 6 a.m. Lazily I slapped the alarm clock several times before it actually stopped. I groaned as I got out of bed looking in the mirror.

"First day of school. Yay..." I put on my make up even though I hate drawing attention to myself. In my closet I found my Abercrombie blue shorts and a white tank top under a navy lace shirt and put them on.The mornings have always been my faveorite. The birds were chirping and the air was fresh. And if you got up early enough you could see the pink and orange sky still merged under the glowing sun. But this morning was different. It was the morning after I had finally broken up with Conner. Conner had been beating me for over 3 months. I thought love was like that. But I was wrong. My phone rang and my best friend Jenny's name came on the screen.

"Hey J" I answered

"Get down to the Grill now!!" She replied before hanging up.

That was weird I thought to myself. I straightened my dark brown hair quickly and put on my Steve Madden blue heels. I walked out the door and into my cherry red corvette still wondering about that abrupt call from J. The drive to the Grill felt like a lifetime but when I got there what I saw was unbelievable. Standing in the door was a man with mysterious eyes and dark hair. His eyes met mine for a moment and I felt as if I were going to met. Soon after he had left and I just sat there speechless. My mind was a jumble of thoughts until a squeal broke my train of thought

"Isn't he gorgeous!" J squealed

"Yeah I guess" I replied trying to keep my cool

"That is our new project for you" Claire interrupted from the car over

"C, you know I-"

"I know I know you don't want a new guy but I want you to have one" she grinned. "Let's get to school" Jenny exclaimed hopping in the car
