It was September first, Sydney's favorite day. She was going back to Hogwarts, her favorite place. It's going to be her third year and she gets to go to Hogsmeade, the wizard village with the best shops she could ever dream of!
10:07, an hour left to go. The Hogwarts express leaves at 11:00 exactly. She couldn't wait any longer! She was in her muggle house, as her whole family except her are muggles(although she had a sister who was only 10 and could still get her letter). Her Great-Horned owl, Gizmo, screeched, she knew that he wanted let out, but she couldn't when they were so close to departure.
Everything was packed and she has all of her new spell books. She only had one good friend at Hogwarts, though she plans on making more this year. The third year, in her opinion, is the best year! You get to go to Hogsmeade, get two extra classes of your choice, and, as she heard, they get to learn a lot more Defense Against the Dark Arts spells! Which was her second favorite subject, she thought that nothing could beat potions.
She's been reading Ghost and their Pasts, she loved learning about magical creatures and couldn't wait to see what was next in Care of Magical Creatures class.
She looked at the clock. 10:30. It wouldn't be bad if I was early, probably better! She thought. She grabbed Gizmo's cage, her luggage, and put Ghosts and their Pasts back in. Her parents were waiting for her and of course her little sister Savana, yet her older sister still didn't want to come, she thought Sydney was a freak.
"Ready?" Her mum asked.
"Yep!" Said Sydney, she was so excited to go back to where she belongs.
They got in the car and five minutes later arrived at Kings-Cross Station. Sydney loved the view of being here and on her way to Hogwarts. I must be really early, there's no one else here that I know...though I don't know a lot. She thought.
She said a goodbye to her family and walked right between platform nine and ten to get to platform nine and three quarters. This was the best feeling in her life, knowing that she'll be in the compartment, alone, reading and on her way to Hogwarts. This is what she's been waiting for all summer long.
