"We meet again..." A Hananene story

Chapter 1

Nene POV-

It's been about a year since I lost hanako-kun and aoi to the severance. I can't even have my best friend here beside me. I can't have mitusba call me daikon or hanako to tease me. I can have Mr Tsuchigomori to scold me and yako to nag at me. I don't know why I can't get over it. No matter how hard I try,how many different methods I use, I just can't get them to come back to us. Why? Why us...why does everything happen to us? I never got to tell hanako-kun how I felt..and-

knock knock

"Coming!!!" I shout whilst shoving my feet into my shoes, desperate to get them in.

"nene-senpai please hurry up..." Came back a tired voice.

Nene POV-

The voice was kou-kuns. He barely gets any sleep now, as he does 10x more effort and time into bringing the others back. He misses them just as much as me, but as the result, he lacks the energy he used to. He mostly misses mitsuba though. I can't blame him. Even though they both likes each other, they were too oblivious to notice one another's feeling's.

"Done!" I swing the door open and the bags under kou's eyes were more than just noticable.

"Let's go then, nene-senpai."

We slowly walk to school, each step we took was another step into the future. After the severance, nothing can surprise us, traumatize us or even make us flinch. That memory is lodged into our heads. It plays on repeat, like a never ending nightmare.

Kou's POV-

Nene-senpai always looks so sad now. Despite the fact that she wears a smile on her face, she always has sadness in her eyes. Hanako was always there to comfort her, and Mr Spider was like a second father to her. Yako was ride to her, but deeply cared for her. And...mitsuba..why him..why out of everyone him? Why-

"Kou? Kou? KOUUUU!!!"

Nene screamed at kou, telling him to keep up, and that we were almost at school. Kou looked away from his daze and continued to talk to nene about new methods they could use to bring them back...
