everyone was sitting sat in my house. either in the kitchen or living room. i was on the floor of my living room playing cards against humanity with punz, hunter, weston, caroline, and mikey.
i was winning by a land slide do to how funny i was.
it felt so amazing to be distracted from everything else happening in my life. i felt happy for once.
that of course would come to when everyone left or when nick decided it's time to ruin my birthday.
i was just happy i was able to blow off my parents today. but i did have to go to there house tomorrow. hated it.
"kayyyyy let's open gifts" caroline says stopping the game.
we all agreed and i sat down in a chair as everyone went to the couch. caroline set all the gifts by me
"thank you gorgeous" i said
"of course beautiful"
i laughed and she went to sit down with everyone. i smiled at them and noticed lola on luke's lap.
"what do i open first?" i asked
"MINE! blue bag" karl yelled. i laughed and grabbed it.
i first opened the card which i knew what it was. karl and i give each other the same card every year, we just add a new signature
"woah so surprised" we laughed. i opened the bag to find a ton of candles.
"there is no need to to look at them. they are the top 5 on our list" he said
"thank you karl" i said. i looked around and mikey was giving me a look
"pink bag. now bitch." she said. i laughed but listened.

mikey got me a ton of candy because that's all i wanted recently. weston and kalynn got me their merch since i asked for it. luke gave me a new notebook because he saw that my old one was falling apart along with battle born by the killers on record. hunter got me clothes and a gift card to target.
"thank you all guys. it means a lot truly" i said.
i had amazing friends, ones that actually cared it felt as though. i loved them.

katie and harris also came over just to say hello to everyone. harris was talking to karl and hunter about music, katie was with caroline, i was with luke
"so, how are you?" luke asked
"i feel a lot better today" i said while sitting on the counter. he leaned against the island across from me.
"i'm glad you are. you look very pretty today kayla" he said causing me to blush
"you look pretty" i said an he smirked. we both had been drinking which caused some of our actions and words
"hmm thank you" he said before moving to put his hands on either sides of my thighs.
he was still taller than me even though i was on the counter. we looked into each others eyes smiling.
"let's go dance" i said getting off the counter and grabbing his hand.

i woke up the next morning on my bed alone. i remember sending everyone home last night knowing i had an early start today
i sat up and noticed the rain pouring down. i sighed and went to my closet to get out clothes. i changed before going to my bathroom to do my makeup

as i finished up, my mom called me. i took in a deep breath before answering
"hello" i said
"kayla sweetie, bad news, your dad and i are going to mexico later so we have to pack. hope you had a good birthday" she said.
"oh okay, have fun" i said. she hung up and i threw my phone down. normal parents. i let out a sigh before getting a backpack.
i put in my notebooks, extra clothes, water, my charger and some snacks. i threw it on my back before going down to my car. i decided that i needed to start things over
i stopped at a gas station. going in and buying a dr pepper and pods for my vuse. i went back to my car and put in a new pid before taking a hit.

i finished recording some bass and and piano for 1sf3sb. i put it all together and worked more. harris and i always worked fast. we never stopped unless needed
i sent harris the final product before telling him i was going to do some writing.
