"Let them go," Thomas demanded.

"Thomas, put it down," Janson said warningly.

"Let 'em all go!"

"You know I can't do that!" the woman in white said loudly.

"Thomas, please stop," Teresa said frantically, moving to stand next to the older woman. "I made a deal with them. They promised, they promised we'd be safe, all of us."

"And I'm supposed to trust you now?" Thomas breathed heavily.

"It's true, it was her only condition."

"Shut up!" Thomas yelled.

"Everything can go back to the way it was." The woman's voice was soft again. Tiago's eyes automatically narrowed. This woman definitely knew what she was doing. "Thomas. Do you really want all of them to die?"

Tiago saw Thomas glance at his friends. He inched forward imperceptibly, his body automatically readying itself to run if he needed to. Thomas still had a bomb in his hand, and Tiago's instinct was to protect. If anything was going to happen here, Tiago knew he was going to run for Newt.

"Listen to her, Thomas," Janson said, "think about what you're doing."

Tiago kept moving, his eyes shifting to the soldiers in his vicinity every so often. He caught his mother's eye, and he could see her shaking her head. He hardened his gaze and looked back to Thomas. Then he saw Minho move closer to Thomas, then Newt and Frypan. Tiago halted his movements.

"We're with you, Thomas," Newt said quietly. Tiago heart pounded in his chest. He saw Teresa's eyes well up with tears, saw the woman in white's lips move. There was a few beats of silence, then the old woman yelled Thomas' name.

Suddenly a loud horn blew. Tiago turned and saw a truck, driving full speed toward one of the helicopters on the ground. The truck slammed right into the helicopter, shoving it off the rock it had landed on. The propellers went flying, and Tiago heard multiple people yell 'Look out!' as they flew towards the group. He ducked, clasping his hands over the back of his neck to protect himself.

When he got back up on his feet, Tiago looked around frantically for a weapon. It was every man for themselves now, so he had to either find a weapon or run as fast as possible. There was no way he'd make it back to his bow without being shot, so his best bet was to either find a discarded gun or avoid all the conflict he could.

Tiago's arm was grabbed and he was spun in place. His mother was there, her eyes wide and frantic.

"Duck!" she shouted.

"What?"

"Duck!"

Tiago didn't waste any more time; he flattened himself to the ground, just in time for a bomb to go off. He could only guess it was Thomas, since he didn't know anyone else that had a bomb on them. He raised his head from the ground, glancing at his mother.

"You good?" he yelled at her. Belle nodded, then pushed herself off the ground and ran off. Tiago frowned, but he didn't have time to turn and do the same himself because she was running back. When she reached him, Tiago was astonished to find that she had his bow and quiver in her hands.
