she put on the outfit she had picked for herself. she was a little self conscious, but she shook all the negative thoughts off of her head.

she slipped on a thin fabric t-shirt and a pair of mom jeans, going for the chill and casual look but not wanting to look too over-the-top.

she heard a knock on her door and skipped downstairs. she pulled the door open and was greeted with kenma who was wearing a black hoodie and a pair of ripped jeans.

he had his hair tied back in a little ponytail, most of his hair still falling out but shaping his face perfectly.

"you ready to go?" he asked and she nodded, swinging her purse on her shoulder.

"you look really nice." he complimented as she walked down the steps, a slight tint of blush dusting over his cheeks.

"you look really nice too." she beamed.

"thanks for coming with me today." kenma thanked her the moment they are seated down in the cafe down the street. she glanced at the boy in front of her and smiled.

"of course, ken. let's order, i'm kind of starving." she giggled and stared at the menu.

"i'd like the ice cream waffles please, and an iced coffee." she ordered and handed the menu back to the waitress.

"and you, sir?" the waitress landed her eyes on kenma. "i'll have the chicken sandwich with black coffee. thank you." he handed the menu back to the waitress and turned his attention back to the girl in front of him.

"so which game do you want to try first?" she questioned, her eyes beaming from the excitement.

"i don't know. i really like dungeons and dragons, but the new resident evil seems like a thrill." he said but his expression fell.

"i'm sorry, i must be boring you with my game talk." he apologised.

y/n's eyes shot open and she quickly shot up in her seat, hands moving as she speaks.

"what? no! kenma, i would never get bored. i'm just a little lost since i've never played it before. please keep telling me about it." she smiled and rested her hands on the table.

his golden eyes sparkled, a little surprised that she was actually interested.

"really?" he grinned. she nodded her head eagerly.

"really."
