Dancing with fireflies

One moment you're dancing with fireflies
The next, you're stuck in a dark room with no way out.
Each firefly taken away by the saddest of all thoughts.
As they disappear, the demon appears
It starts by laughing and judging the things you do.
It stitches your mouth so you can't cry for help.
Cuts your wrists and thighs because it thinks you deserve the pain.
Left empty and alone, you think about the times you were dancing with the fireflies.
Maybe, one day when you'll be able to unmask the demon
Realize it was yourself.
After some time healing from the labyrinth you got yourself in
You will finally have the strength to make the dream of dancing with fireflies again, a reality.
