Invaders From Mars

Start from the beginning

"The door." Glory says.

"Please." The Doctor says.

"Were you a housebreaker before you became a detective?" Glory questions.

"No, but Celestia and I have been intimately involved with more cell doors than you've had." The Doctor says.

"I'm so bad at opening the doors like that." Celestia says.

"Luckily you have me." The Doctor says.

"Thank Rassilon." Celestia chuckles.

"Dead men?" Glory asks.

"I was going to say hot dinners." The Doctor says.

"I've had a few." Glory says.

"And yet you stay so slim. What's your secret?" Celestia asks.

"Clean living. What's yours?" Glory asks her.

"Oh, every now and again The Doctor and I treat ourselves to a complete makeover." Celestia explains. The Doctor, on the other hand, unlocks the door and opens it.

"Let's go." He says.

"Shine the light, would you?" The Doctor says when they enter a room.

"This looks promising." Glory says.

"Well, it's certainly the sort of place I'd knock up if I were in the Professor's line of work. Nice equipment." The Doctor says.

"I bet you say that to all the girls." Glory says, making Celestia narrow her eyes at her.

"No, he doesn't." Celestia answers instead of him.

"No, I don't." The Doctor answers as well. "Look." He says as he shows an object.

"What is it?" Glory asks.

"Dear, do you know what that is?" The Doctor asks to The Time Lady.

"No idea, sorry." Celestia replies.

"What about you Miss Bee?" The Doctor asks her this time.

"Not a clue." Glory says.

"Nor me." The Doctor says.

"Oh." Glory says.

"But this I do know." The Doctor says as he shows something different.

"This is very familiar." Celestia frowns.

"I'm all ears." Glory says.

"They're part of the drive system from a star ship." The Doctor explains.

"Star ship?" Glory asks, surprised.

"Extraterrestrial, or I'm a Dutchman." The Doctor says.

"Extra, You mean?" Glory questions.

"Not of this Earth, Miss Glory Bee." The Doctor says.

"Quite a thought, isn't it?" Celestia asks.

"Someone's coming. Quickly." Glory says as they try to hide.

"Lights!" The Doctor says. "Behind this. Get your head down." He says once he finds a hiding place.

"Doctor." Glory says but Celestia shushes her.
Then the door opens and a man gets inside.

"Ah ... ah-hah ... Yes, yes, Mm, mm, yes." He says.

"Is that your uncle?" The Doctor asks in whisper.

"That's Professor Stepashin, yes." Glory confirms.

"Well, what are we waiting for?" The Doctor asks.

"Doctor, have you completely forgotten what I told you the other day?" Celestia whispers in an angry tone.

"No, wait, wait." Glory says.

"And how is my patient?" Stepashin asks as he opens something. "It's getting murky in there, like a dirty goldfish bowl, eh my friend? I cannot see you in there, but, you are getting well, yes?" Then he taps on the glass. "I do not think I will be trying to take your temperature just yet." After this he seals the door.

"What's the matter? He's your Uncle, isn't he? This'll be a nice reunion." The Doctor says, sounding confused.

"Oh you completely forgot." Celestia mutters.

"Let's wait, see if we can find out more about who kidnapped him." Glory says.

"Well, why don't we just ask him?" The Doctor asks. Then he says in a normal voice. "Professor Stepashin?" He says as he leaves the hiding place.

"What is this? Who?" Stepashin says, startled.

"I'm sorry to startle you." The Doctor says as he walks over to Stepashin. I'm the Doctor, this is Celestia." He points to the Time Lady, pulling her to his side, holding her hand while she's looking at him angrily. "And we've brought a visitor. Glory?" The Doctor asks her.

"What do you think you're, Who are you people?" Stepashin asks to the trio.

"Celestia and I are just tourists, but this lady needs no introduction, surely?" The Doctor says, still not getting it.

"What?" Stepashin asks.

"Your niece." The Doctor tries to make it clear.

"How you've managed to completely ignore me I'll never understand." Celestia mutters.

"What are you talking about?" The Doctor asks.

"I have no family. Where is Chaney? What the hell is going on?" Stepashin asks. Then they hear a gun cocked.

"Sorry, Doc. You should have listened to Celestia. I ought to thank you both for leading me to the Professor." Glory says.

"Oh, not at all." The Doctor says.

"You have come for me?" Stepashin asks.

"It's nothing personal. I'm doing it for Mother Russia." Glory says in a Russian accent.
