"I went to the address he'd given for the conference." Glory explains.
"Same result?" Charley asks.
"It was just a warehouse down by the East River." Glory says.
"Doctor, can I have a word?" Celestia says.
"Er, just one moment, Miss Bee." The Doctor says.
"We'll be right back." She smiles sweetly at the two human woman. Then the Time Lords start walking off.
"What's the rumpus - I mean, what is it?" The Doctor asks in a whisper.
"Should we be doing this? This woman's problem is nothing to do with us. She came here to find Halliday so he could find her Uncle." Celestia whispers back.
"Halliday's dead." The Doctor states.
"Exactly. And you're not going to be of much use to Miss Glory Bee by indulging your private detective fantasies." Celestia says.
The Doctor sighs as he says. "No, I suppose you're right."
"Plus every instinct in my body tells that she's not being completely honest." Celestia says.
"I'll keep that in mind, dear." The Doctor says. "I think we better refer to the police, or." He pauses in mid-sentence, turning his attention to Glory, speaking in a normal voice. "Miss Bee, this conference your Uncle was attending - what did you say it was?"
"Heavy water, or something. I really don't understand what his research is." Glory says.
"He's a scientist?" The Doctor asks.
"Didn't I say?" Glory asks.
"No. Heavy water? What's his field?" Celestia questions.
"Oh, I don't know. Something about atoms or some such." Glory is about to finish but The Doctor interrupts.
"Atoms?" He questions.
"Yeah." Glory says, making both the Time Lords blink.
"Doctor, Celestia, why are you looking like that?" Charley asks them.
"Remember how Halliday died, Charley?" Celestia asks in a whisper.
"Radiation burst, The Doctor said." She whispers back.
"Hmm, I think Miss Bee's little problem may be more important than we thought." The Doctor realizes.
After Charley went to sleep and The Doctor arranged another meeting with Glory, the Time Lords are left alone.
"So what do you think about Miss Bee?" The Doctor questions.
"Honestly nothing." Celestia admits. "Just a hunch telling me that she's hiding something. That's all."
"What could she be hiding?" The Doctor questions.
"It can be anything, sweetheart." Celestia says. "I could read her mind when we meet her next time."
"No dear." The Doctor shakes his head. "We don't do that."
"Yeah, you're right." Celestia sighs.
"Plus, it's fun this way." The Doctor points out.
"Oh is it Mr. Detective?" Celestia chuckles. "I think being a detective suits you, by the way."
"I could do it full time if you want me to." The Doctor grins.
"Oh I'd much rather have you running around in time and space, exploring the universe." Celestia laughs. "But you can be my private detective, especially when we're alone. It's kind of hot." She grins.
