"Well done. What's in it?" The Doctor asks.

"Matches." Charley states in a duh voice.

"Uh, that's the trouble with clichés." The Doctor pouts slightly.

"I told you so." Celestia grins. "Don't worry about it sweetheart. It happens to the best of us." She says, kissing him on the cheek.

"Mmm, I feel much better now." The Doctor chuckles.

"I know you do." Celestia says.

"Shall we tell the police or something, Doctor?" Charley questions.

"Probably not. We always seem to end up helping them with their enquiries." The Doctor says.

"We don't get paid enough." Celestia sighs.

"We don't get paid at all." The Doctor remarks. "Perhaps it'd be better to go by Mr Halliday's office, and" The Doctor was saying something but Charley cuts him off.

"Doctor?" Charley gains his attention.

"Yes?" He looks at her.

"Oh, nothing. I thought I saw someone. Over there by that shop." Charley explains.

"Mm, no-one there now." Celestia says.

"How's your stomach?" The Doctor asks Charley.

"Pardon?" Charley frowns.

"Look at his body." He says. "Not you, Celestia."

"Right." Celestia agrees.

"Oh! Burnt?" Charley questions.

"Frazzled, more like." The Doctor says. They start walking in street. Then he holds Celestia's hand tightly.

"So, it's not far off my time, Nineteen Thirty-Eight. I could get a boat home." Charley says.

"You know, it's a constant puzzle to me why so many of my travelling companions can't wait to leave me. I show them all the wonders of the Universe, and what thanks do I get?" The Doctor asks to the Time Lady.

"Well I could think of hundred reasons as to why they want to leave, sweetheart." Celestia grins, teasingly.

"Stop being cheeky." The Doctor chuckles.

"I don't plan to give up anytime soon." Celestia replies.

"Ah!" The Doctor exclaims when they find Halliday's office.

"Halliday's office." Charley realizes.

"Mm, at least according to his wallet, yes. Look - JC Halliday, Private Investigator, discretion assured." The Doctor shows the wallet to the girls.

"What now?" Charley questions.

"Well, people are rarely killed without a reason, Charley, even in New York." Celestia says.

"Besides, there's the way he died. Concentrated radiation burst." The Doctor explains.

"Is that what it was?" Charley questions.

"Obviously." Celestia says.

"Onwards and upwards, then." Charley says.

"Hmm?" The Doctor questions.

"After you two." Charley says. Suddenly, they hear someone coming up to them.

"Mr Halliday?" A woman asks.

"Pardon? Oh, erm - erm, yes, yes, that's me." The Doctor says.

"Doctor!" Celestia narrows her eyes at him.
