"Doctor!" Crane shouted.

"What?" The Doctor asked.

"The PSI machine." Crane pointed out.

"Going to explode. Look at it." Brigadier said.

"Run!" Charley shouted. Celestia held The Doctor's hand as tight as she could without hurting him and they all exited the lab.

"Everyone get out of the lab in time?" The Doctor asked them when they were out.

"Alive and well." Celestia said.

"Perfectly fine." The Protector answered.

"I'm here." Charley said.

"Me too." Crane said.

"All present and correct, Doctor." Brigadier stated.

"Dashwood and Marchosias." Charley said.

"Gone, back to the psionivore's realm, taking the PSI machine and the Trans-D with them." Celestia explained, still holding the Time Lord's hand.

"No way for Marchosias or the other psionivores to get back." The Doctor said.

"You seem upset." Charley remarked.

"Sadly, these poor mindless victims of Doctor Pargeter's have gone too. They didn't deserve that." The Doctor said.

"Oh, my sweetheart." Celestia said as she hugged him tightly. This incarnation of The Doctor was more emotional than his previous ones it seems. Charley watched them with jealous look in her eyes.

"Thank you." The Doctor said as they pulled apart. "I needed that."

"I'm always there for you." She smiled warmly at him and he just took her hand in reply.

"There'll be an enquiry, I suppose. Have to account for half a dozen patients somehow." Brigadier said.

"Oh, I doubt there's any record of them, Brigadier. To Pargeter and Dashwood they were no more than cattle. They won't have done any official transferring from hospitals or clinics.Even in this enlightened time of yours, Brigadier, there's still a black market in disadvantaged human beings." The Doctor said.

"You make us sound as bad as the psionivores, Doctor." Crane laughed.

"He has a point." The Protector agreed.

"Do I? Well, that's something to think about and write up in your newspaper, isn't it?" The Doctor questioned.

"Doctor, let's get back to the Tardis." Celestia said.

"Yes, all right. Becky-Lee and Senator Pickering seem to have got through to the police. Leave them to sort it out." The Doctor said.

"Well, that must be that, then." Charley said. "Time for well, goodbye, everyone. We must be going. Come along, Charley, don't dawdle, and all that." She said as she mimiced The Doctor.

"Oh, I'm going to help the police with their enquiries. I'll see you later, perhaps?" Crane wondered.

"You're a brave man, Mister Crane." Celestia said.

"I had a brave mind inside me for a while, that's all. Right now I'm a gibbering wreck inside." Crane replied. "Er, see you later, old man." He told The Doctor and started walking away.

"Charley, can you get to the Tardis?" The Doctor asked her.

"Yes. Why?" Charley questioned.

"We'll catch you up, yes?" The Doctor said.

"All right. Goodbye, Protector. Pleasure to meet you." Charley said.

"Pleasure is all mine." The Protector said.
