"A good guess." Charley said.

"How good a guess?" The Doctor encouraged.

"My guess would be that everyone in the outside world just heard Mister Dashwood here describe them as subnormal." Charley explained.

"Hypocrites as well, I recall." The Protector said.

"So my next guess is that the money has stopped coming in." Charley said.

"And Brigham Elisha Dashwood has broadcast his final sermon." The Doctor said.

"I like TV, Doctor. It's fun!" Charley said, excitedly.

"How did this happen?" Dashwood questioned.

"My fault, I'm afraid. Think I hit all the wrong buttons, opened your microphone up. Live, I think poor Scott was yelling. Sorry, Dashwood, old chap." Brigadier said over the comm.

"You, you lousy limey! I'll get you jailed by your Whitehall masters." Dashwood said, angrily.

"Fire off your emails, Dashwood, till ye've rent the steeples, drowned the cocks. After the opinions you've just expressed in front of an eighty percent share of America's prime time market, you'll find my government isn't going to go near you, any more than advertisers, businessmen or even Ted Turner will." Brigadier said.

"Brigadier, good to hear from you. How's the heart?" The Doctor asked.

"Strong as ever, Doctor. Strong as ever. And quite proud, seeing that without Mister Dashwood here, Malebolgia might actually become a quite decent new state. On my way down to the er, studio floor, I believe the terminology is." Brigadier answered.

"Well, boys, and pretty girls. Well done. Battle joined, battle lost. You have me where you want me." Dashwood said.

"Shall we call the police, have him arrested?" Charley questioned.

"Ah, no, actually, we can't. He hasn't committed a crime." The Doctor said.

"Not here, anyway." The Protector agreed.

"You mean he'll just walk away from all this?" Charley questioned.

"Oh, no. The authorities will investigate the Institute, the Hellfire Club. There'll be enough to pin every crime under the sun on him. Blackmail, extortion, assault, kidnapping, possibly murder. But that'll take time." The Doctor explained.

"You can't mean he's scot-free until then, surely?" Brigadier asked.

"Zebadiah's right, Alistair. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a car outside. I think I'll go, well, somewhere they won't find me very quickly." Dashwood said.

"But" Charley interjected.

"Don't worry, Charley. After what you told us about that Hellfire Club and what we witnessed in that alley, Brigadier, I don't think that Dashwood's going to find it easy to escape his own personal demons." The Doctor said.

"Our worst enemy." Celestia sighed.

"That's his problem." The Protector said. Then they went outside. Celestia practically glued herself to The Doctor's side because she didn't feel comfortable around Dashwood.

"You're alright?" The Doctor questioned.

"I don't feel safe around this Dashwood guy." Celestia sighed.

"Nothing will happen, I promise." The Doctor reassured her.

"I know but I'd feel much better if I stayed this close to you." Celestia said.

"I'm not complaining." The Doctor grinned.

"You better." She teased him.

"Cheeky." The Doctor chuckled. "And how are you feeling, Protector?" He turned to The Protector this time.
