With that said, they got up and went to their rooms.

The great hall was bustling with excitement and happiness. Everyone was sharing their trips and what special stuff they got. The Gryffindors were the loudest, clearly happy to be back home. They were laughing and shouting. The Hufflepuffs were having the same amount of fun but were a bit less loud. The Ravenclaws were sharing the new knowledge they learnt or what books they read. The Slytherins were quite happy themselves, unlike their gloomy selves.

The first years talked in low whispers compared to the older students. They were excited and nervous. Amid the nervous students stood Cassiopiea Walgbura Black and her twin, Sirius Orion Black. Both were scared. Where Sirius was scared for what would happen to them if they were placed in Slytherin, Cassiopiea was scared for what would happen if they weren't placed in Slytherin.

A loud clang brought the twins out of their thoughts. The great hall was silenced at once. Cassiopiea was shocked to see how much power Dumbledore held. He had a very powerful aura around him. He said in a cheery voice, "Let the sorting begin." And with that, the sorting began.

"Arney, Max," called out the stern-looking professor Mcgonagall.
"Hufflepuff," the sorting hat didn't take more than 5 seconds to decide the boy's future. The sorting continued while Cassiopiea was lost in thought. The other Black was talking to his newly made friends, James Potter and Remus Lupin. 𝑀𝑜𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟 𝑤𝑜𝑢𝑙𝑑 ℎ𝑎𝑣𝑒 𝑎 ℎ𝑒𝑎𝑟𝑡 𝑎𝑡𝑡𝑎𝑐𝑘 𝑖𝑓 𝑠ℎ𝑒 𝑘𝑛𝑒𝑤 𝑤ℎ𝑜 𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑓𝑟𝑖𝑒𝑛𝑑𝑠 𝑤𝑒𝑟𝑒 thought Cassiopiea.

She felt a nudge in her stomach. She looked up to see it was Sirius. "Your turn, sis. All the best. Try not to be in Slytherin." He gave her a small smile. But his eyes held fear. For what would happen if they got separated.  She slowly made her way to the stool, where the hat sat. The professor gave her a small smile.
Cass nervously sat on the stool.
𝐴ℎ, 𝑎𝑛𝑜𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟 𝐵𝑙𝑎𝑐𝑘. Said a voice in her head. A small gasp left her mouth. 𝑀𝑦,𝑚𝑦. 𝑆𝑢𝑐ℎ 𝑎 𝑏𝑟𝑖𝑔ℎ𝑡 𝑚𝑖𝑛𝑑, 𝑠𝑜 𝑎𝑚𝑏𝑖𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑢𝑠 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑎𝑙𝑠𝑜 𝑠𝑢𝑐ℎ 𝑘𝑖𝑛𝑑𝑛𝑒𝑠𝑠. 𝑌𝑜𝑢 𝑎𝑟𝑒 𝑛𝑜𝑡 𝑙𝑖𝑘𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑜𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟𝑠. 𝑌𝑜𝑢 ℎ𝑎𝑣𝑒 𝑠𝑢𝑐ℎ 𝑏𝑟𝑎𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑦. 𝐼  𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑘 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑏𝑒𝑙𝑜𝑛𝑔 𝑤𝑖𝑡ℎ
"Please don't be Slytherin." She said in her mind.
Why? You have ambitions and cunningness.
"Because if I did, I will be like the other Blacks. I want to show them I am very different from them."

Well, then better be

𝐺𝑅𝑌F𝐹𝐼𝑁𝐷𝑂𝑅.

She was happy yet scared. How can she be a Gryffindor? Her parents would disown her. She slowly made her way to the Gryffindor table. She avoided looking at the Slytherin table, where she was sure her cousins were scowling at her. She sat next to a second year, who introduced himself as Max Lightwood-Bane. He was quite good-looking.

"Black, Sirius," called out the professor.

Please be in Gryffindor. Please, please. Cass wanted her twin, her other half, with her. She knew she was being selfish. If her brother was with her, he would also be punished.

"Gryffindor" yelled the house. Cass was more than happy, she clapped the hardest. Sirius ran to the table and gave her a bear hug.

The sorting continued till every first year was sorted. The Black twins were happy.  So happy that they forgot about their parents for the time being. They were children; they deserved to be happy and not thinking about war.

The day they were sorted into Gryffindor would always be ingrained into their memory. It was a beautiful beginning of friendship and love.  There were times when they thought they didn't belong in Gryffindor, but their friends always told them otherwise. They showed Hogwarts that it doesn't matter which last name you have;  you can be entirely different from your family. They showed they were worthy of Gryffindor.

Life isn't fair. Life doesn't give happy endings, but it can give a happy start and a happy middle.
Life is dangerously beautiful.
