Part 13: Like in a date?

After me and Kai shared that, cute moment? Bonding moment? I don't know, but it felt nice. We talked about a lot of things, he even made a few jokes about Sammy, and that was what I think a ''talk about boys'' maybe. We just realize that was night wen Julia came to say that they were closing in five, we looked around and the lights were already on, and now instead of old people buying things from the natural shop, young people were looking for a good place to have a drink.

- God, the time fly - I said getting up.

- Well, when the company is good, certainly it does - Kai said getting up too.

- I drop you at the hotel, right? - He asked as we started to walk back to the car.

I saw that he maybe wanted to invite me for dinner but didn't want to push much.

Before we could get out of the alley, I heard someone yell my name.

- Bea!! - I heard again as I turned to see Sammy running towards us.

- I see you at the car - I said to Kai, so we could get some privacy.

Kai nodded to me with a smile and gave a death stare to Sammy. We waited a few seconds so Kai wouldn't hear what we were about to talk. Not that was some secret, but I don't know what he was about to say to me, so it was better so Kai wasn't around.

- Who was that? - Sammy asked, then I remember that the last night he didn't asked who Kai was.

- Hmm, It's my father - I said, It was a little weird call, well anyone, father, but it felt right.

- Ow - I could see him realize that the treats and the dead stares made more sense now.

- So, what you need? - I asked. Not wanting to get to deep in the conversation about my father.

- Hm, I was thinking, I really enjoyed last night, and I realized that I didn't had your number, so I was just going to wait until you show up at the restaurant so I could ask you. If you like to go out with me? - I could not believe that Sammy was asking me out. It was a dream. And the way he asked, so easy, so confident, I liked.

- Like in a date? - I needed to ask, just to be sure.

- Yeas, in a date - He answered me, laughing a little about my question.

- Hm, yeas I would like that, when? - I asked, I really was in the clouds about it.

- What about tomorrow? I pick you up at 8pm, that's okay? - I barely heard what he was saying, my stomach fill up with butterflies.

- That's perfect, where are we going? - I don't even know how I am talking, god.

- Hm, there is a bar in Soho, the rest it's surprise - And now he is being mysterious, this man is driving me crazy.

- Okay - I responded him rolling my eyes but giving a smile - See you tomorrow - It probably wouldn't make a difference if I asked where we would go, so just a good night was enough.

- See you tomorrow - He said back with a smile.

I walked way, with a silly smile. It never cross my mind that Sammy would ask me out, I mean, I had a crush on him but my expectations were very low, but god, I am so excited.

I went to the car and got in, with the silly smile still on my face, I still could not believe in what just happened.

- Do I want to know what happen? - Kai asked, with a smirk on his face.

- He just asked me on a date - I answered him.

- Hmmmm - He joked.

- Came on, it's just a date - I joked back giving a slight punch in his shoulder.

- If you're saying - He said with another smirk, starting the car.

The trip back to the hotel it was fine, it was silence but not awkward. We even sang a few old songs that was playing in the radio.

Kai dropped me at the hotel, and we actually talked more in the car. About mostly everything. He told me things about his family, I told him things about my childhood with Abby, and he told me that was happy that I had such a great childhood even if he wasn't around.
- Hm I had a really good time today. Really, it's being so long since I laughed like that, really, thank you for today - I said to him. Feeling tears wanting to come out, but those tears were tears of joy, tears of relieve that we were getting to know each other better.
- It's me that should being thank you for accept to talk to me, for letting me in - Those words actuality hit me hard, now that I could hear Kai's version of every history, it was actually easy to see that he was always the one left out. The one betrayed. And that made him do things that I know he is not proud of (but he is proud of the spell that he mande, making me "appear" in Bonnie's uterus) - You should go, Abby is probably waiting for you - He said after a few seconds of silence. I nodded and gave him a kiss in the cheek, I could see that he shocked that I did that, but was happy too.

- Yeah, she probably is - I said thinking if she gave me curfew, but she didn't - Thank you again for today, it really meant a lot to me - I said giving a big smile - Good night - I said and got out of the car.

- Good night - He said back with a smile.

As I walked to the hotel Kai started the car and went way. I was doing the same path that I have been doing for the past two days. I walked into my room, and grandma was at her bed, reading a book. It gave peace to see her like that, this past few days it have been no stressful, it was nice to see Abby relaxed like that.
- Hey - She said to me, getting out of her own world in the book - So, tell me everything - She asked putting her hand on her side of the bed, showing me to sit and talk to her.
- Grandma, if I am being honest. If I had never met Kai, and herd about the things he did, I definitely wouldn't say that he is a sociopath, or was - I said the last part a little bit confused, remembering about his merge with his brother, Luke.
- Yeah, your mother and Damon just realized what he had done when they saw a newspaper - She told me, letting me know that was okay, feeling this way about Kai.
This is one of the things that I love most in grandma, her ability to comprehend even when the situation is more than crazy.
- So, Caroline is leaving in two days, have you diced if you are going to Mysticfalls? - It shocked me that grandma waited this long to ask me about that, even if she was a great person, she still was a little be nosy, but I don't blame her anyway.
- Actually, I have been thinking, and I don't want to leave you here alone, I mean, I know you can take care of yourself, that's not the problem - She cut me of.
- Baby, if that's in your way, don't worry about me. Me is the last thing that you have to worry about - She said to me, and I could see that she was saying the truth.
- Yeah, I wanna go, but not in two days with blondie, in the end of the month - It felt great to share with grandma that I wanted to go to Mysticfalls.
- Of curse, we can arrange that. But tel me, this "wanting" of only going in the end of the month, does have to do with a certain barman at the alley?- Grandma asked with a smirk, of curse she knew. She knew me too well for my own good.
- Maybe - I said getting up and going to change to my pijamas - Hm, I bumped into him at the alley, he asked me out - I started faking that I was about to say something sad, and then I started scream and be all cheerful, and grandma followed my happiness.
- Baby, that's awesome - She said, being happy for me - When? - She asked, clearly wanting to know every detail.
- Tomorrow, 8pm, at a bar in Soho - I said everything that he planned for our date.
- So I believe we need to go shopping - Abby said all cheerful.
God, how do I ended up with a such great person.
- We definitely need.
