This is about me trying to face my dad.

(my dad never allows me to speak for myself, he wants me to be the perfect daughter)

The One Who Speaks

Do you speak for me?

I'm the one who speaks for herself

Hatred rises like the summer's tree

Though you say you aren't with lying greed

I'm coaxed with the filth of them

Do you speak for me?

You say it's just foul like cheese

Who do you think you are?

Hatred rises like the summer's tree

I'm hurt with the lies, I'm no longer free

You've rejected flesh and blood

Do you speak for me?

Your flesh and blood begs on her knees

You smite her for what she is

Hatred rises like the summer's tree

And, you, father have no right over me

I'm no longer your toy being pushed around

Do you speak for me?

Hatred rises like the summer's tree.
