An Unexpected Path

Connor senses your discomfort. Pulling you towards him, he embraces you as you stand in between his legs and pressed against his bare chest. At first you don't know how to respond. You've shared so many hugs before, but none as caring as this one. They were usually quick goodbyes and hellos, but this one feels significantly stronger. There's emotion in his hug. Worry? Caring? Affection or adoration?

Both of your arms slowly raise, hands gingerly flattening upon his soft back. You decide to nuzzle your face into the crook of his neck, enjoying the closeness and the touch from the one that you want it from the most.

"You don't have to say anything... but I think I have a general idea," he states, pulling you back by the shoulders to properly see you.

"Huh? What are you talking about? How could you know what I'm thinking?"

He chuckles lightly. "I know you, (Y/n), and part of being an android is the capability to read vitals." Connor gives a small smile. "I know you care about me, but I sense that it's stronger than what a friend would normally feel. I've learned a lot about these things in the past year and a half..."

"I..." You're at a loss for words. You want to say something, to express yourself, but there's still that underlying layer of doubt. "He's not mad, or being standoffish... Maybe I can say something."

One of his hands raises up to cradle your face, and that small smile grows even larger. His brown eyes seem full of joy, happiness. "If you do feel for me in that way... please tell me."

You lift your dominant hand upward, overlaying it with his. A smile creeps up, and you suddenly feel confident enough to spill your guts to him. "Connor... Ever since the day I met you, I felt something. I just... didn't know what. At least, not at first."

His head tilts slightly, but his expression remains positive with that subtle curiosity.

"I'm glad that you two came knocking on my door, and I can't be any more grateful to have you in my life..." Nervousness begins to set in again, trying to tempt you into halting this path that you're taking, but you can't hold back now. You're almost there. "I - I really like you... I'm not certain if it's stronger than that, but I don't think I could live without you in my life. You're the best thing that's ever happened to me, and I..."

He gently thumbs your cheek, shushing you softly because of your pause. "(Y/n)... Thank you for telling me."

A sudden force begins to pull your head towards him, and it's only then that you realize what is happening. Connor's eyes are beginning to close, lids fluttering as your mouths draw nearer. Your heart is thumping chaotically from nervousness and anticipation, but you don't dare ruin this chance that you thought would never happen. Allowing him to entice you closer, you try your best to savor the moment and not let your anxiety get the better of you.

His head tilts, both of your lips melting together like they were meant to be connected. It's everything you were hoping it would be; soft, gentle, loving, and romantic. This kiss has you melting at his touch, the subtle smell he has is filling your lungs with happiness, and the sensation is making your whole body start to quiver with the desire to have more. All the while, the event is lasting longer than just a mere second or two, making you ache with each hand that ticks away on the clock. Your fingers unconsciously slide down his back, almost gripping his backside.

He pulls away with slight shock, but he decides to smirk kindheartedly. "Maybe I shouldn't have kissed you for so long, but I've been yearning to do that for a while..." Connor shyly responds.

You blush, hands shifting to his waist instead. "Sorry, I didn't realize..."

"It's okay. Things were just getting heated from this past event. That's all," he analyzes, jumping off of the table. He staggers then loses balance, hands flying back to brace himself against the edge.
