As she got to the building and Travis got out of the car he waved at the other two. Sal had his knees bent as his feet were on the dashboard. Travis paused and came back knocking on Sal's window. Sall rolled it down looking up at him, "Everything okay?" Travis nodded handing him his phone, "Imma need your number." Sal nodded taking it, "Right." He put his number in and put his name as 'Sal <3' and handed it back. Travis smiled and started walking backwards, "I'll text you later, yeah?" Sal smiled rolling up his window, "Bye, Travis."
Ashley drove out of the parking lot still smiling, "You know, I really am glad you and Travis are finally going out on a date." Sal looked over, "Yeah?" She nodded, "Absolutely. I've seen how he looks at you. How he always cares and will go out of his way for you. He really did want to ask you out during senior year." Sal sighed, "I know. He explained to me why he didn't." She nodded and they fell silent.
When they reached to the college, sal sighed "I forgot I had a test tomorrow." Ashley drove to the boys dorm, getting as close as she could so he didn't have to walk for a while. She nodded, "And if history is repeating itself, you have yet to study." Sal rebuttal, "Hey! I studied with Todd in highschool! I always studied." Ashley came back, "Ah, but that was only with major tests though. Remember? We were all there together. All the other times we had study sessions you and Larry were doing God knows what." Sal sighed waving her off, "Yeah, yeah. But, hey! At least I know this quiz isn't important."
She sighed as she parked looking at him, "Sal.. all tests in college are important." He threw his head back, "I know but if I believe it hard enough, maybe it won't be true!" Ashley giggled, "Okay you big baby, you should try to study some." Sal opened the door and looked at her, "Do I have to?" She nods like a mother would to her child who was about to throw a tantrum, "Yes. Now go. I will park your car in the parking garage. " He groaned loudly, making sure to be as dramatic as he could as he grabbed his mask, stomped his feet and flung himself out of the car. She laughed, "Sal, you are twenty three years old! You are not a child!" He groaned even more, "I knooooooooow!" She continued laughing shaking her head, "Oh my fucking god, Sal. Just go!"
He waved at her weakly still keeping the act up, "Bye aaaash." She cleared her throat to stop the laughter and sighed, "Bye Sally Face." He rolled his eyes smiling and shutting the door. He took a step back watching her drive off, "I'm too lazy to study." He chuckled as he went to his dorm. To his surprise, his dormmate was in the room. And to even a bigger surprise, he had a girl in there. sal immediately covered his face with the mask turning around right when she went to look at him. She was shirtless and ontop of the dormmate and quickly covered her chest, "What the fuck?! Haven't you ever heard of fucking knocking?!"
Sal sighed, "Chad you got to be fucking kidding me, dude. The one time you're finally back and you decide to have company over?" He clicks the mask and Chad spoke up, "Hey, you weren't in here. I waited a few hours and thought that you might not be coming back tonight! So technically it's your fault." Sal shook his head turning to look at him, "Why couldn't you have done this at her place?" She shrugged, "Too noisy with everyone either doing shots or having a bad trip." He paused blinking and she spoke up again, "Hey, what's with the mask? Hasn't Halloween already passed?"
Sal had to bite his tongue, "not a mas-" Chad spoke up chuckling, "It's a prosthetic. Without that you'd see a horrific view. Really grotesque under that damn thing. Trust me, he looks better with it on." Sal cleared his throat, "Thank you… Chad.. for talking over me." He nodded and the girl got off to get closer to Sal, "Can I see?" Sal watched her, his brows furrowed confused on why this girl was so enthusiastic about this subject. He knew she was drunk, he smelled it when he walked through the door, but maybe drugs were entwined too? He shook his head out of his thought process, "Um, what's your name?" She smiled, "Veronica." Sal leaned over to look past her to look at Chad, "Wow, what a keeper Chad. Sure y'all are lovely together, really." The blue headed boy stood back to face her again, "Veronica, It's really nice meeting you. I'm sure you're a lovely girl when you're not shirtless and shitfaced, but I'm just going to grab pajama pants and I will be out of your hair."
He walked past her not realizing how close she actually got and grabbed a random pair of pajama pants and his phone charger. Veronica went back to sit on Chad's bed, "You know, stranger. You could join u-" Sal shook his head rushing to the door, "no thanks, bye!" She shrugged, "Suit yourself." Sal immediately closed the door and shivered from the gross exchange he just had. He was already regretting going to the dorm tomorrow. He went to the elevators and called ash.
He pressed the button and waited when he heard the voice from the other end of the phone, "No, you can't pay me to take your test for you." He paused, "What? No. I was wondering if I could stay at your dorm for the night." She responded rather quickly sounding a little shocked, "What, why?" He sighed, "I can give you a hint. It's because of a douche." Ashley groaned, "What did Chad do this time?" Sal shook his head entering the elevator, "he had a girl over. Just know, she tried pulling me into their sex time." Ashley snorted, "No way?! Did she really?" Sal hummed, "Yeah. I think I'm traumatized. You might have to live on without me." Ash snorted, "Guess I just gotta find a replacement Sal."
Sal gave a gasp, "How dare you say such a thing! I thought you cared for me. I'm hurt!" They both laughed. Sal exited the elevator, "So can I?" He heard her heavy sigh, "I wish I could say yes, but no. My roommate is having to stay up all night with a project and she needs as much space as possible. Sal nodded, "Alright. That's fine. I will probably just stay in my car." Ashley spoke again, "I'm really sorry!" Sal shook his head, "No it's fine! I will let you go okay? I know you got to study." She hummed, "You need to try and study as well." Sal was the one to snort this time, "Yeah we will see about that." He said bye and hung up before she could argue with him.
He made his way to the parking garage but didn't see it on the first floor. He sighed, "You just had to make this difficult for me, didn't you?" He started walking up to find his car. He finally found it, on the top floor. He sighed and got in the back seat and locked it again. He laid down and got as comfy as he could and messaged Ashley, "Top floor huh?" He noticed he had a missed text and opened it.
"Hey, it's Travis! I'm so glad we all got to hang today. Felt like old times" sal sat there for a moment twiddling his thumbs re reading the text contemplating before typing, "Hey! And yeah, it was fun. You mind if I call you?" He got a notification that Ashley texted him. As he was about to read it, his phone started buzzing showing the number pop up across the screen. He smiled, taking off his mask before answering, "Hey!" Sal heard the other's tone, he sounded happy, "Hey. Is everything okay?" Sal shrugged looking around his car, "Little cramped but fine. I wanted to have some company on the phone. Someone who wouldn't be studying and or busy fucking someone." Travis chuckled, "What are you going on about?"
Sal sighed, "I'm in my car because my roommate decided to bring in a fuck buddy and Ash and her roommate are too busy with studying that I can't stay with them." Travis paused for a second, "Sounds like one hell of a night. Do you want to come to my place?" Sal adjusted himself, "I appreciate that, but your apartment is what? An hour away from the college? I wouldn't sleep well since I have a morning class and a test I gotta do." Travis sounded a little sad, "Well, okay. If you change your mind, just let me know " sal smiled, "Thanks Travis. I will keep that in mind."
