"Are you sure, sir?" I gave a nod as she bowed and left.

I put some syrup on top and started eating the pancakes

"So, son." My dad started as I looked at him. "I'm sorry for not telling you."

I blinked my eyes in confusion. "What do you mean?"

"You know the Japan thing?"

I finally got the idea and wiped my mouth with the napkin.

"It's alright, dad. I know you thought I wouldn't care. I am very sorry too for all the bad acts and things I have done." I apologized.

He nodded and smiled at me. "The important thing is you learned from your mistakes. That's what matters. Okay?"

I nodded while smiling and continued eating.

"Maybe this isn't the right time to ask about this but." Dad took a bite of his pancake.

"Go for it."

"What happened? What made you change?" He asked as I looked at him.

I can't explain. I turned into a bear, changed. How am I suppose to explain that? It was sudden but also unexpected.

"You know what, don't answer that. Eat your breakfast." He told me as I gave a chuckle.

"How are you gonna go to school? I don't see your car in the garage. Where is your car?"

Wait, where is my car?

"Uhm. Dad, I'm not sure..." I scratched my head.

"You aren't sure where your car is?"

"Maybe I left it at school." I answered. No, I don't know where it is. I thought it's at the garage.

"Okay, do you want to come to school with me?" He asked as I shook my head.

"Thanks, dad. But I want to try taking the bus today." I answered and I can see he didn't expect that answer at all.

"Oh...Do you know how to take the bus?" I nodded and continued eating.

...

I walked out of the house and made my way to the bus stop. I'm not sure how to bus- Huh?

But I think I can manage, I'll just see how people get off later.

The bus stopped in front of me so I got on the bus and found a free seat beside the window.

I removed my bag and sat down beside an old lady.

Riding a bus to school isn't that bad at all. Because I am not the one driving hehe.

While staring out of the window a familiar blonde-haired girl walking alongside the road.

"Ryujin." I spoke softly as my eyes followed each of her footsteps until she stopped by the pedestrian crossing.

Should I get off now so she can see me?

I was about to stand up when I saw someone approached Ryujin. A familiar face, it was her friend Soobin. They crossed the crossing together as I quietly sat back down again. She has someone with now. I was planning on walking together with her but someone came first. Now, I'm starting to think there is something between them.

"Are you not gonna get off, young man?" The old lady beside me asked me.

"I'm not yet at my destination." I smiled at her.

"You were gonna get off when you saw that young girl."

I widen my eyes at her words. Well, yeah but not anymore.

"Your friend?" She asked again.

"Yeah, I guess." I nodded at her as she also nodded at me.

The bus reached our school so I got off and fixed my uniform. I suddenly felt chills when I looked at the gate of our school.

I feel kinda anxious now and kinda nervous. I took a deep breath and took out my phone.

"I don't have Ryujin's number." I sighed and put back my phone in my pocket.

I'm gonna be late if I stay here long. But I can't even step a foot on the school's gate.

"Argh." I groaned and ran a hand through my hair.

Students started disappearing one by one and entered the school gate. I'm probably late by now. If I go to class late, then another bad impression. What am I gonna do? I look like a fool standing outside the school gate.

After a few minutes of debating, I heaved a sigh and gave up.

"I can't do it." I took a deep breath and left the school gate.

"But my car is inside." I stopped and looked at the gate.

Now, what do I do?

"But I can't do it." I started walking away again to who knows where.

"Should I just go strolling around?" I stopped for a bit and tapped my foot.

"No. This is bad." I realized and sagged my shoulders. "It's like I'm cutting classes again."

I facepalmed himself and turn around in the direction of the school again.

"But, I'm late already..."

"Shayleigh, please let me just do this once. I promise this is the last time. I just can't step my foot in the school. I am still not ready." I prayed like there's no tomorrow.

"I'll be a good person, I promise. Just don't turn me into a bear again. I'll make up of everything, Shayleigh I'm saying your name right now." I rubbed my hands together while closing my eyes.

I slowly opened my eyes and saw some people staring weirdly at me as I just gave them an awkward smile and ran away.
