I am the silence,
Yet I am the screams of night.
I am the shadow up against your back.
I am the indefinite,
But I know my limitations.
I am the mask you wear upon your face.
I am the demon from your nightmares.
I am the grim reaper, I can be a murderer.
I am your tears; I am your cuts and scars.
I am the common and the deadly, both emotionaly and physically.
I am a haunting, I am your ghost.
I am the constant despair.
I am the pain and anger.
I am the cause, I am the reason.
I lay just underneath the surface, I can go unseen.
I can convince you to never find help, I can bring fear.
I am confusion.
I am your blade, against your wrist.
I am the blood that drips forth.
I am the shouts, I am the keeper.
I am the darkness, we tangle much deeper.
What am I you ask?
I am depression.
