Devastated- I hadn't written that letter. I slowly made my way to history, Miss Illonyol taught that. She was strict and severe looking, but hated giving out punishments. When I arrived, Miss Illonyol was at her desk, she asked where I had been, I just said I got lost. Which was an acceptable excuse even when you've been at Quadblocks for two years- there's always a place you've never been!!!! I quietly reached for my history book I had bought over the holidays- it wasn't there, I had left it in the dormitory. I asked to be excused- but of course, knowing Miss Illonyol, she said share with someone who has one. I edged my chair carefully closer to Connie's, the girl who was closest to me, when I noticed something strange- I had underlined some words I did not know- hers were underlined too. I had written the page numbers in pencil at the top right hand corner- so had she, was this a coincidence?

Once we had read the book front to back, we were told to start an essay, I managed somehow to finish mine by the end of lesson! Which was very unusual for me because I usually moaned when the word essay was ever mentioned!!

That night, I received a message from Miss Illonyol, saying it was urgent and to come immediately. It was quarter to eight, what could she want at this hour? I knocked at her door, totally bewildered. She said come in sternly and eyed me closely as I stepped closer to her desk. "Mia"she said, "I don't know what in your mind made you write this!" It was my essay- but it had changed it now read-
I think this school is pathetic, and especially the teachers!
It went on a little bit longer but I knew I hadn't written this. I explained to Midd Illonyol about the letters that Carrie had sent me, the letter dad had sent, and all of them. She seemed to listen, she didn't interrupt me as usual, she in fact listened. She said "Now, Mia, I want you to go to the top of Tridans moor tomorrow at noon, follow your dreams you have dreamed, now leave please,". I thought deeply that night- follow your dreams- I had even having dreams of letters- but never would I have thought that it had something to do with the letters in real life!
