But then Regulus remembered something....Today was the day of the Royal Election, was it not?
He remembered Emilia saying something about it...If he counted how long it took him to get here, and the fact he was here for a day, then she should be getting ready for this Election stuff.
He then remembered that that whole meeting happened in the castle, or something like that.
It would sure be nice to see her beatiful face.
And so Regulus Corneas went towards the castle, unintentionally ruining Natsuki Subaru's plans.
*Later*
Subaru was currently riding in a carriage with Emilia and Roswaal. But he wasn't going to actually enter the castle, since last time he humiliated Emilia.
No, since he hasn't been acting as childish as he has been originally, he was able to convince Emilia to let him escort her.
He wasn't sure why he was doing it....It's just that....He had a really bad feeling about this. And not even about the fact Emilia was about to be insulted over and over again, but for some other.....Unknown reason.....He really just wanted to prove his paranoid self wrong.
And so, after riding in the carriage for a short little while, they arrived and they all stepped out.
When they all stepped out, he noticed someone....Familiar....He couldn't tell due to the hood, but he saw that he had white hair.....And a white dress? With golden.....markings....
Subaru: (No....no...noNONO!! What the hell is HE doing here now?!)
The man pulled down his hood and it revealed the one and only, Regulus Corneas.
Regulus: Hm, I figured that I'd find you here, I do consider it insulting that I myself had to find you people, but I suppose that I came here without warning, that by itself shouldn't be enough to excuse your actions, but i'm a kind and generous person, so i'm willing to let this blunder of yours go.
Subaru: R-Regulus-senpai?! W-What are you doing here?
Regulus: What's with the stuttering? Did you forget how to speak? Can't you do anything properly?
Subaru was honestly scared, he wasn't sure what was going to happen now-
Subaru: (Wait no! If he's here, then maybe, just maybe....I'll be able to trick him into fighting the White Whale....Fuck, I'm starting to sound like Roswaal now...)
What no one noticer though, is the massive glare that Roswaal gave to Regulus. But it lasted only a short second before returning to his stupid smile.
Emilia: Regulus-kun? What are you doing here? I thought you stayed at the mansion?
Regulus: I still think that you shouldn't adress me so casually, but there since we're here, we might as well enter this castle together, right?
Subaru: (Oh no....)
Emilia: H-Huh? Oh, no it would be better if I went in there without you.
At her words, a small tick mark appeared on Regulus's face.
