"I-" Deborahbot paused, really thinking that over. "It depends on what is beyond the rotting picket fence. For instance, if a lovely painting was behind the fence, it would be most inconvenient to have the artwork obscured. But on the other hand, something that provokes feelings of disgust, such a-" 'Mother' was quick to cut him off, not looking to find out what the something in question was.
"I mean the sunset, honey. The sunset is behind the rotting picket fence."
"Oh."
"Well, would you?"
