Chapter 12 ~ the aftershock

Fluttershy awoke on the sofa with Mac by her side. "Morning, beautiful." He whispered in her ear. She giggled and blushed. Then she remembered the night before and felt sick. Really sick. Like she might throw up. "Excuse me." She said and ran to the bathroom. She threw up down the toilet and cried. She felt Mac rub her back and kiss her cheek. "I better stay and look after you today." He said softly.

Fluttershy lay under her blanket, asleep with Mac watching over her. There was a loud knock on the door. Fluttershy awoke immediatley and Mac went to get the door for her. It was Twilight. "Hope you are feeling better." Twilight pulled up a chair. "Look, theres something you should know." Twilights face fell serious. "Rainbow Dash in in hospital." Fluttershy went pale. Twilight sighed. "She isn't there because she's hurt. She's there.... To have a foal." The whole cottage went silent. Mac put his hoof on Fluttershy's shoulder. "I... I... I didn't think she wanted kids." Fluttershy whispered. "neither did I." Twilight replied gravely. "Whos foal is it?" Mac asked. "Soarin's." Twilight smiled. "He is such a good boyfriend. He left the wonderbolts and flew to the hospital as soon as he heard." Twilight said happily. "Well, i'm very happy for her. I just hope she takes her parenting job seriously." Fluttershy said after a short pause. Twilight left the cottage. Fluttershy began to worry. Rainbow dash had been sick because she was pregnant. Now she was being sick. Was it because of last night? Was she pregnant too? "Mac?" Fluttershy asked quietly. "Could we go to the hospital this afternoon?" Mac read her mind and smiled. "Don't worry, we will check." He replied.
