"Okay dahlia i want you too stay upstairs and don't be too loud okay" my dad said holding me bye the shoulders
I nodded and he smiled ta me
"okay go hurry there here "he said sending me up
i ran up the stairs too my room and shut the door
i looked around at the overly fancy room my dad had decorated and went to change into my pajamas
but i realized i didn't have nay of my stuff they were all with my mom
i sighed and left my room hurrying down the stairs where i saw my dad with another family
"papá no tengo ropa" i said quietly looking at him
"you know i cant understand you, and i told you to stay in your room"he said
"Schneider who is this" a woman with curly hair asked
"Penolpe this is Dahlia my daughter" he said
"Dahlia this penolpe her mother lida and her kids Elena and Alex" my dad said pointing them out
"look ill explain everything but could you translate for me tell me what she's saying" my dad asked lida
"ah yes "she told him before looking at me
"papá no tengo ropa" i said again quietly i don't like new people they made me nervous

"Years ago i met a girl i got here pregnant we were gonna get married but she got deported while she was still pregnant she had a girl dahlia, dahlia just came over from Venezuela" my dad explained to them
"she wont speak any English i don't even know is she can, she can understand me but she cant speak it" he told them
"she's only been here a couple hours" i said
"so she's not Cuban but she Venezuelan" lida asked
"yeah" my dad said nodding his head
"papito" she said smiling as she nudged the boy in the side he was my age

"look Schneider will help her and you in any way we can too help her get adjusted but you need to man up be a father to your kid" penolpe said and i looked up at my dad
"that means you cant have random girls in and out of your apartment, you have ot learn to cook you have to put her in school" penolpe listed
"okay "he said "go get ready for bed i guess" my dad said

When i got out of bed i took a shower and noticed i had allot more clothes in my closet and they were all expensive brands and there was a uniform there two a blue polo shirt and a blue and black skirt
I got dressed in a pair of black leggings and a dark green top with some causal sneakers
"Padre" i called walking down the stairs and saw my dad putting on his shoes
"come on dahlia were going to people's" he said and i was starting to wonder if Schneider and penolpe were dating
"si"i said following his out the apartment

When i walked into the Alverez apartment i saw lida cleaning up dishes and penolpe putting on her shoes Alex was sitting on the couch
"hola dahlia" Alex said waving me over and patting a seat on the couch
