Chapter 1

POV Jennifer
I woke up at 8'clock at the orphanage. Since my parents died in a car crash when I was 8 I got send here. And trust me it's crap here.

Everyday I get beaten by the orphanage runner Ms Barns when something doesn't go her way. She yells at all of us here but I think I am the only whose getting beaten. Thankfully there is no bullying going on in here.

Anyways I showered, put on an outfit and covered my bruise with make up on my face from yesterday's beating. I have a lot of bruises on my stomach, arms and legs as well. From all the kicking and punching.

I grabbed my bag cause I was planning to go to the mall with Alex my friend from school. We usually are allowed to go to somewhere but we need to follow Ms Barns's rules.

I am not hungry so I just walk straight to the door. But I unfortunately didn't make it in time. Ms Barns pulls my hair and slaps me and it stings like hell. I am holding back tears but it's hard.

"Get out of here you useless trash and make sure you come back in time." she snapped.

"Y-Y-Yes, ma'am." I stuttered out.

AT THE MALL
When I get to the mall I greet Alex and we started to look around in stores Alex bought the most since I didn't want to give much money cause I don't have much.

When it is 2 o'clock, Alex and I grabbed some lunch at Nando's and after that Alex left. I didn't want to go back yet to the orphanage so I decided to go to a store to buy some snacks.

When I got into the store I noticed that it wasn't very busy as in the other ones. I heard my phone ping and looked at it and I got a message from Alex saying she arrived at home. I grabbed my snack and texted her back at the same time. I am on my way to pay when I feel myself bump into someone. The other person dropped something so I picked it up and apologized.

"I am so sorry." I said quick.

"It's fine, don't worry sweetie ." I heard a woman say sweetly. I swear I recognize the voice. HOLY SHIT- I thought to myself when I looked up and saw who I bumped into. PERRIE FREAKING EDWARDS IS STANDING RIGHT IN FRONT ME. I freaked out from the inside. Like Little Mix is my favorite band.

POV Perrie
This young girl around 12 I think just bumped into me. When she finally looked up at me, her blue eyes light up. I think she recognized me. But the first thing I've noticed is that she seems shy. She looks skinny maybe even too skinny. When I looked at her face I noticed a bruise on her cheek. I have feeling something bad happened to this girl. So I decided to ask her name to begin with.

"What's your name?" I asked polite.

"Jennifer and I know you are Perrie." She giggles when I was about to say my name.

"So I guess you are a mixer then?" I smiled.

"Yes, and I love all four of you and I listen to your music everyday." She says with a little smile.

"Aww, thank you." I smiled.

"And how old are you?" I asked

"12".

I was about to ask her something else when her phone rang and scared the crap out of us. When she looked at her phone her face went blank.

'POV Jennifer
I was talking to Perrie when my phone rang. I checked and it Ms Barns who said I will be in big trouble when I get back for being too late. I started panicking and I looked at Perrie and she looked really worried.

"You okay?" She asked.

"Yes, it was just my mom who wants me home." I lied.

"Uh, okay." Perrie replied sounding suspicious of my lie.

"Well, it was super nice to meet you and I hope I'll see you again sometime." I said with my voice cracking.

I was holding back tears cause I didn't want to go back to the orphanage and getting a beating again. I actually wanted to talk with Perrie a little bit longer.

POV Perrie
My gut told me Jennifer was not telling the full truth. When she said her goodbye her voice cracked and it looked like she was about to cry. She walked away from to pay for her snacks. I grabbed my last things as well when I saw the cashier and Jennifer argue about something.

"What do you mean I didn't give enough money, I am sure I did." Jennifer said getting annoyed.

"No, you miss a couple of pennies."

I decided to help Jennifer out.

"I'll pay for her." I told the cashier.

Jennifer looked at me shocked.

POV Jennifer
I was shocked when Perrie wanted to pay for me.

"Why did you do that Perrie, you didn't need to but thank you though I appreciate it." I said shyly. When we walked out the store together.

"You're welcome." She said.

I was about to walk away and go back to the orphanage with tears in my eyes when I felt her grabbing my wrist, I hope she didn't noticed I flinched.

"Can you come with me please for a minute?" She asked.

"Ehhm, okay." I said shyly.

POV Perrie
I grabbed her wrist and she flinched before she relaxed when I let go again and then I asked her to come with me to the bathrooms where we could talk privately. She agreed but she sounded unsure which I understand. But when I looked at her I saw that she had tears in her beautiful blue eyes.

POV Jennifer
Perrie walked away with me to the bathrooms so we have more privacy.

"Jennifer..you don't have to tell me if you don't want to but I noticed the bruise on your cheek and I didn't want to ask you about it in the middle of the store."She asked carefully.

Shit, I thought what do I say. I thought.

"Ehh, I walked into a door." I said and it sounded really unconvincing.

"Well, I walked in doors a couple of times before and I never got a bruise like that."

SHIT I thought again. Maybe I can trust Perrie but I am get in trouble. But then I thought I am already in trouble and nothing is gonna help me. But maybe just maybe Perrie could help me.

"Perrie...if I tell you the truth do you promise you won't tell anyone." I whisper.

POV Perrie
When I caught her lying again she was thinking about something until she whispered softly.
She asked if I'd promise not to tell anyone when she tells me the truth.

"Yeah, I promise." I said reassuringly.

She looked at me with sad and teary eyes and what I was about to hear broke my heart. And I felt the need to help this sweet girl out.
