EIGHT

Third person pov

Y/n leaned her head on Maria's shoulder. Maria wakes up after a while and starts stroking y/n's hair. Y/n is slowly waking up. She immediately notices that the body she is leaning against is unfamiliar. 'You are neither Wanda nor Nat.', says y/n and rubs her eyes tiredly. 'Rude', Maria says laughing,' and secondly good morning to you too sweetie.' Y/n sits up and smiles at her tiredly at her:'Good morning.' Maria sits cross-legged in front of y/n and thoughtfully wipes a blond curl off y/n's small face. 'We're going shopping in twenty and after you can meet Darcy.', Maria explains the plan for today. Y/n smiles and claps her hands together excitedly:'About time. How old is Darcy again?' Maria thinks for a moment. 'Her headspace age is much older then yours. I think she is five or six. Now let's get you ready.', Maria answers and grabs y/n's hand and pulls her up from bed.

A little later the two arrive at the mall. Y/n looks overwhelmed at the many shops and desperately pulls on Maria's sleeve. She looks at her with pleading eyes:'We can go home now at meet Darcy now?' Maria crouches down to y/n that they are on eye level:' We have to get some things first and you want to give Wanda and Nat a present, right? Y/n thinks for a moment, she indeed wanted to give the women who care about her the most a present. Before she can answer, Maria pulls her in one of the little stores.

While Maria looks around for an employee, y/n looks around the store overwhelmed. She sees a lot of Mommy's and Daddy's with their littles, which made her want to slip to. She searches Maria because she senses that she is about to slip. When y/n finally sees Maria and wants to go to her, another little ran into her. She falls on the floor and starts crying. She cries until two strong arms wrap around her tiny body and lift her up. Maria whispers calming things into her ear to calm her down:'Should I call Wanda or Nat?' Y/n thinks about it for a moment. She really wants to go to Wanda and Nat, but they are in a mission. Y/n would only be a distraction for them and if she wouldn't call them, they would be home sooner. Y/n shakes her head no and starts to play with Maria's hair until an employee stops in front of them.

'Hello', says the young employee, 'how can I help you both.' She looks smiling at Maria and the little in her arms. Y/n baby blue eyes and her blond curls catch everyone's eyes, but mostly her blue eyes. Maria pats y/n on the head while she replies:'Could you possibly measure y/n's height? Then her caregivers could buy her stuff easier.' Y/n look briefly up from Maria's neck and makes eye context with the woman. She smiles at y/n and then nods at Maria. She extends her hand so that y/n can take it. Y/n whispers in Maria's ear:'S'ary' Maria looks at her lovingly and then puts her down on the floor and kneels in front of her. She cups y/n's cheeks and says calmly:'If something should happen, you just call me, okay honey?' Y/n nods hesitantly before taking the employee's hand.

The to disappear for a while and then come back to Maria after ten minutes.
Y/n stumbles to Maria and makes grabby hands. Maria smiles down at her and scups her up. The employee smiles at the cute little y/n:'She is surprising small, even for a little. Extra small to be exact.' Maria nods at her thankfully before saying goodbye. Y/n looks at Maria with big eyes:'Home 'ow?' Maria smiles at puts a girl behind y/n's ear. 'We need to by something for Wanda and Nat, remember? Do you see something you like?', Maria asks.

Y/n looks around the room. Immediately something catches her eye. She whines until Maria appears in front of a stand. She puts y/n on the floor and looks how the little crawls to the items. Y/n looks at a little giraffe family. A red giraffe, a brown giraffe and a smaller yellow one. She picks up a red, for Nat, and a brown, for Wanda. Y/n proudly shows Maria the stuff animals.

'Sure you want these?', Maria asks smiling, picking y/n up at places her in her hip. Y/n nods eagerly and presses the two giraffes at her heart. Maria can't help but let out a small 'aww' before whispering in y/n's ear:'If you want we can go home now to meet Darcy.' Y/n's face fills with joy. Maria laughs before pay for their stuff.

After a while Maria and Y/n park in Maria's driveway. The older women  helps y/n out of the car seat and carries her into the house. Darcy opens the door excitedly. 'Hey Mom', Darcy says smiling and then bends down a little to y/n to look her in the eyes. She immediately notices the blue and starts smiling more, 'Hello y/n. I've heard a lot about you.' Y/n is hiding in the crouch of r neck again. Darcy dissent bother and hugs Maria. 'Don't feels so little right now?', Maria asks and enters the house. Darcy follows them and closes the door. As she collapses on the kitchen chair, she replies with a laugh:'Obviously not.' Y/n looks up from Maria's neck again and watches Darcy. She looks nice. Y/n squirms in Maria's arms:' 'arcy. Want 'arcy.' Darcy smiles and takes y/n out of Maria's grip and put her in her lap. Y/n giggles at Darcy after she tickled her a bit. 'What do you want to do while we're waiting for your Moms?', Darcy asks. Y/n looks a bit surprised. Maria walks out if the kitchen:'Darcy baby, she dissent call them 'Mom'' 'Oh, Ohhh. I understand', Darcy says while giving y/n paper and pencils, why that?' Y/n shrugs her shoulders and draws a picture of Wanda, Nat and her.

Y/n hears the doorbell and shortly then Maria calls:'Y/n honey, Nat and Wanda are here.' Y/n starts grinning as she fouled the drawing and gives it Darcy to take care of. After Darcy took the picture and puts it in a save place they could her footsteps approaching. Y/n turns around and looks at Wanda and Nat. Wanda picks her up and kisses her head. 'Mama', y/n says give king while wrapping her hands around Wanda's neck.
